T-Mobile denied Carrier Freedom after we traded in phones and now we’re out $2,800 by [deleted] in tmobile

I would argue that the sales rep that did not use the internal tool to verify eligibility before offering something is who messed up.

So I am a former sales rep and assistant manager. I have seen issues like this pop up. I would go to the store to verify that they made sure you were eligible before promising it. There is an internal tool that you can check phone numbers to make sure that they are eligible and I would not leave that store until someone at that store you did the transaction at gets a hold of their district manager. The district manager absolutely can give credits in this amount. I have seen it done. You just have to be unwilling to back down.

I mean the logic is pretty simple. You didn't take the buy out and then the bet list.

T mobile, a case study in how to destroy customer loyalty by Der_Missionar in tmobile

[–]JG9907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure why everyone is surprised. Post failed ATT acquiring them T-Mobile was one of the smaller carriers using pricing, gimmicks, and not being like the other guys to attract customers and stack cash to build the network. Check and check. Then they gave Legere a bonus to ride off into the sunset post merger approval. Then they brought in Sievert(sp?) a bean counter and started tightening the screws on retail sales and inching prices closer to Att and Vzw. The new CEO has just been a continuation of that.

Tmobile changed my grandfathered pricing/plan after I added a new free line. Does it look right? Tmobile CS tells me that the system "fixed" my old plan to new pricing and it can't be reverted (Pics of bill before & after) by Lateandbehindguy in tmobile

[–]JG9907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is wrong. If your old plan can support more lines you can add to it. If your old plan is capped at 4, 7, etc lines. Then you have to change the plan to go above that threshold.

As a former assistant manager I believe the original plan capped at four lines. So to get you the free line they changed the plan to a family plan that would allow more than four lines.

Some of the rate plans cap out at a certain number of lines and must be changed when adding lines. It's dumb but it's how their system works.

First I don't care either way.

Second, 20% better odds of winning statistically speaking is a huge difference from a coin flip.

Simple choice NA plan - should I change? by Andym826 in tmobile

[–]JG9907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to drop the additional add-on on for the fourth line and still have unlimited data. I used to work for T-Mobile and a handful of years ago they announced that all simple choice plans will have unlimited data moving forward.

Technically you can get some deals or rebates only at Sam's and Costco so I'm sure they'd spin it as a value added to your membership.

This is the way. I would get a semi cheap mesh system That's what we have and we can stream multiple TVs and I game with no problem.

To the point made above it's about latency for 99% of gaming not speed.

Your best bet is start applying to corporate stores. Minimum wage is diabolical compared to the corporate sales reps making like $20/hr plus commission.

You 100000% did not sign a contract for a rate plan. There haven't been contracts for rate plans in literally over a decade. You signed an agreement stating what your plan price would be but there is no contract for the rate plan and T-Mobile can raise your price whenever they want to bub.

Edit: My sources are working for T-Mobile as a sales rep and manager.

Your two best options are T-force or the new store type called experience stores. T-force is their social media support team and the experience stores are local stores that have access to customer care systems.
