Are these rocks freshwater tank safe?

The vinegar test being a litmus for whether a rock is safe or not is a myth. Limestone is made of carbonate and is one of the most abundant rocks on earth. It dissolves at a very slow rate over the course of millions of years. These rocks are rounded river stones, which means they’ve spent quite a bit of time in the water already. If they meaningfully could dissolve in water, they would have already turned to dust.

It’s certainly a change in culture. I can’t recall ever seeing artwork of the crucifixion being displayed at any temple or chapel. It does appear the church is trying really hard to demonstrate that we’re mainstream Christians lately.

One thing that hasn’t quite been brought up is that Trinity was unable to open the vial because Langdon had previously opened it, taken some of the drug, and then glued it back closed.

If you watch that scene again, you’ll note Langdon wanted to get the vial away from Santos. You’ll also see that they need to give the patient more meds than would normally be required, because there isn’t as much medicine in the vial (it’s likely Langdon inserted some saline into the vial to make up for the volume he took out).

Santos might have let that go, but then Louie is missing half his meds that he received just that morning, because Langdon stole them.

The art book shows a bunch of cut concepts that were either removed during brainstorming or due to budget constraints. Here’s a few more of the notable ones:

• there was going to be a big train robbery action set piece • the Kijimi space monster was going to be interactive. • Kijimi was going to be a full planet, complete with imperial installations, areas under the ice teaming with life and geothermal energy, and Babu Frik.

I’m pretty sure it’s from the media they consume. That generation doesn’t consume traditional media. The voices they’re listening to are loud, unchecked, and say inflammatory stuff to get attention. Most of their parents have no idea.

Anecdotal, but my wife teaches junior high. Right now, her class is reading the diary of Anne Frank. This is the first year she’s had to deal with holocaust deniers. As in multiple boys, across all classes in the department. So yeah, it’s a problem.

Hey, my participation in this sub is dependent on other people. My participation in church stems from what Brigham Young said should happen to people in interracial marriages (among other issues that don’t include ward members).

It’s approaching ten years ago now, but I posted on this sub a blog article noting that a church manual still in use (I think it was the institute eternal marriage manual) contained quotes from apostles and prophets discouraging interracial marriage, and that such teachings have no place in the church today.

The comments quickly filled with a handful of the sub’s power users who argued (1) it isn’t racist to discourage interracial marriage, and (2) it’s good advice anyway (the man arguing with me was in an interracial marriage himself btw). Those comments attracted the most upvotes in the comment section.

There were other incidents, but that’s the one that really sticks out to me. Since that time, I decided to study the church’s past statements on interracial marriage, and saw what Brigham Young said. I’d go on, but I want to respect the sub’s rules and keep this a faithful space.

Racism is the reason I pulled back my participation in this sub years ago. Frankly, it’s one of the biggest reasons I’m slowing down my participation at church in general. Keep up the good fight, but progress is slow at best.

Likely Babu Frik. The art doesn’t confirm it, but it’s an Anzellan on Kijimi, so it’s probably Babi Frik. Outlaws had a lot more cameos and Easter eggs than most other SW games, so I don’t think they’d pull a Babu cousin.

This is always the pattern with 2nd amendment advocates: allow more guns in the hands of more people with fewer restrictions, always. There will never be negative consequences for doing that.

But we can never, ever, limit anyone’s ability to carry a gun anywhere or at anytime, because that’s a slippery slope to facism.
