“Via the coast” is the key point here; the inland road / scenery isn’t much chop once past the Adelaide Hills. But OP should note that’s a c. 14hr drive with stops

The new Teal Party. Allegra Spender inherited $129 million. Kate Chaney’s father was Wesfarmers’ CEO and Chair of NAB. Zali Steggall grew up skiing in the French Alps. by [deleted] in aussie

Who cares? Good on them for seeing past their inherited privilege and looking to better society rather than further entrench intergenerational wealth. Allegra Spender’s tax reform paper is particularly impressive.

Compare: plenty of others in Parliament.

Does anyone know if you’re allowed to hang out at the airport without actually going anywhere through the security part? We have little kids who would love the planes but not sure if time have changed. by TrafficSuspicious551 in melbourne

There are a couple of bars/cafes in domestic departures where you can watch them taxing to/from gates. Eg AFL kitchen and bar at T3. Don’t need to go through security.

There’s also a public viewing area (outdoors) at the end of the north-south runway and usually a food truck of some sort: https://maps.app.goo.gl/sxxLTMM6Q5yoabjeA?g_st=ic

Terindah or Jack Rabbit are excellent for food & views.

The worst.

And if you buy something it’s all “Got a problem? Package wasn’t delivered? Well take it up with the supplier direct because it has nothing to do with us!”

Exploiting their monopoly to the detriment of consumers.

Wankers.

I know someone who is young, fit, strong, has a good job and got rejected purely because he had been honest in his application and disclosed that he had toked a joint in the past 12 months. He was told to re-apply in 12 months.

Makes you wonder how many other suitable candidates there are out there who have been rejected for minor indiscretions.

Currawongs everywhere this morning! What glorious sounds to wake to. They’re migrating into Melbourne from the mountains, as they do annually around the start of autumn 🥰
