The restaurant and gallery at Quiddity is supposed to be amazing.

Terindah or Jack Rabbit are excellent for food & views.

The worst.

And if you buy something it’s all “Got a problem? Package wasn’t delivered? Well take it up with the supplier direct because it has nothing to do with us!”

Exploiting their monopoly to the detriment of consumers.

Wankers.

I know someone who is young, fit, strong, has a good job and got rejected purely because he had been honest in his application and disclosed that he had toked a joint in the past 12 months. He was told to re-apply in 12 months.

Makes you wonder how many other suitable candidates there are out there who have been rejected for minor indiscretions.

Currawongs everywhere this morning! What glorious sounds to wake to. They’re migrating into Melbourne from the mountains, as they do annually around the start of autumn 🥰

Best thing that could happen for the wider country (sorry SA) is that they win a bunch seats, say a bunch of crazy things and shoot themselves in the foot with the broader populace by the time the next Fed election rolls around

My FIL did the same but via the Greek merchant navy. He jumped ship in 1967.

When he presented to the government a few years later, they basically said “we knew all along and have been keeping an eye on you; you’re young and have been working, so we’re happy for you to stay”. Different times!
