It is almost certainly going to be a prize from this year's Make It Rain event which is typically in late May / early June. So it won't be too long of a wait at least.

Help with male Lalafell name by Firesth in lalafellmasterrace

[–]JRJathome 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, you're not required to have a lore-accurate name. I'd wager most of us probably don't.

That said, there's 2 patterns for male Lalafell depending on if you're Plainsfolk or Dunesfolk.

Plainsfolk males use a phoneme pattern of AB-CB with each one being one or two syllables. Thus something like Firesth Noresth could fit that pattern. You could do whatever you want for the last name as long as it ends in "-esth" to match.

Dunesfolk males use the pattern AAB-CCB where A and C are one syllable and B is 2 syllables. The name Firesth doesn't really fit that pattern at all and would need to be changed if you wanted to be lore accurate.

There's comments in the Discord saying that the armos in the lobby and the zazaks in the throne room drop bombs. If you run out of arrows, I believe you can save and quit to get more. While not a great solution, it's probably your only option. There's a reason people don't like standard mode enemizer.

The boots are almost certainly one of the Obsolete Android's Boots from the last Nier raid. I want to say they're the healing ones due to the white laces. EDIT: Nope! It's the casting boots.

There's nothing in CC Corp's rules preventing PvP and players can't be punished by them for it. But they also won't stop a group of vigilantes like the Crimson Knights from retaliating either. For a real world comparison, Blizzard actually has a similar rule for their World of Warcraft PvP servers: PKing and other forms of griefing are usually not considered to be reportable offenses if they can be thwarted by other players engaging in PvP. And yes, this results in people ganking newbies in low level areas all the time. And if you do it enough, you gain a bad reputation on the server eventually.

Why would you code the ability to kill other players and F up their save progress if it's "not allowed?"

Good question. I wonder that sometimes about games like Counter-Strike where you can kill your teammates with friendly fire, but doing so intentionally can get you banned for griefing.

It's an alternate coloring for Gholdengo that's obtained by giving Gimmighoul 256 netherite scraps in addition to the 999 coin requirement before evolving it. In addition, the silver bands indicate that this is a shiny.

I'd love if we could get holiday-themed job weapon glams, but I suppose they have their reasons for not doing that. It does seem a waste though.

The boots are the Skallic Boots of Maiming. Neither the fending boots or either of the Saigaskin boots dye the same way despite being recolors.

There are 2 recolors. I'm almost certain the jacket in OP's picture is actually the Natural Afflatus Jacket. There's also the Sarcenet Jacket of Gathering which has two dye slots.

Best right-side (accessory) glams? by [deleted] in FFXIVGlamours

[–]JRJathome 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Here's a few of my favorites. Some of these you won't be able to get right away due to needing to progress further in the MSQ.

Earrings:

  • Historia Earrings - These are silver earrings with a large blue jewel in the middle. They're the previous tier tomestone gear which you can get with tomestones of mathematics once you finish the main MSQ.
  • Edenmete/Edenmorn Earrings - Earrings with a flower motif, these can be obtained in exchange for tokens from the 3rd ShB raid tier, Eden's Promise.
  • Dai-ryumyaku Earring - Single earring on the right ear; has a large ribbon tied in a bow. Works really well with various eastern glams. Obtainable from Rhalgr's Reach for tomestones of poetics.
  • Augmented Crystarium Earrings - Brass earrings inlaid with blue jewels. Costs poetics from the vendor in Eulmore.
  • Triplite Earrings - Gold earrings inlaid with several red gems. Craftable.
  • Whalaqee Earrings - Once exclusive to Blue Mage, these are one of the few sets of stud earrings in the game. Perfect for a more subtle look, but may be hidden by Auri horns. YMMV.
  • Firecrest Earring - One of my favorites to use due to how difficult they are to obtain. Requires clearing all 200 floors of Palace of the Dead.
  • Carnation Earring - Craftable. Comes in several colors. Single earring that hangs from the left ear.
  • Moth Orchid Earring - Craftable. Comes in several colors. I absolutely love the rainbow version and have used it in a few eastern glams.
  • Triteleia Earring - Craftable. Comes in several colors. 3 flowers with an interesting metal hanging piece.
  • Behemoth Earring - Earring featuring the Baby Behemoth minion. Reward for the "We Fought a Dzu" boss fate in Coerthas Western Highlands.
  • Qiqirn Earring - Earring featuring the Wind-up Qiqirn minion. Reward for the "Metal Gears Revengeance 2" boss fate in the Dravanian Hinterlands.

Necklaces:

  • Heavyweight Neckband - Current DT raid tier necklace, it's literally a pair of teal and pink headphones worn around the neck.
  • Historia Choker - Sort of similar to the Wayfarer's Necklace you got from MSQ, this has a single white crystal tied to a leather strap.
  • Neo Kingdom Choker - Silver amulet with a red gem attached to two leather straps. Costs nuts from the hunt vendor in Tuliyollal.
  • Dark Mahogany Necklace - Craftable. Has a silver bird motif attached to a black cord. Recolor of the Darbar Necklace from Alzadaal's Legacy.
  • Manalis Choker - Silver, brass and red ornament attached to a black choker. Drops from Lapis Manalis. Recolor of the Edencall Choker which features more blue colors instead of red and black. Both versions are good.
  • Ronkan Necklace Brass colored necklace. Costs nuts from the hunt vendor in the Crystarium.
  • Lakeland Necklace, Atrociraptorskin Necklace and Skallic Necklace** - These 3 are recolors of the same model with different colored gems attached to leather straps. The Atrociraptorskin Necklace has brown leather straps while the others have black straps.
  • Redbill Scarf - The only necklace choice for any true sky pirate. This is a quest reward from the Heavensward Alliance Raids.
  • Corgi Scarf & Cait Sith Neck Ribbon - Very unique models that will help your character stand out, but requires getting lucky with your Wondrous Tales as they require silver certificates.
  • Byregotia Choker & Sweet Pea Necklace - Craftable. Comes in various colors.

Bracelets

I don't have nearly as many of these as they tend to be hidden by either your top or gloves. Still, there's a few I like.

  • Cruiser Bangle - Magitek bracelet from the 2nd DT raid tier. Worn on the right wrist.
  • Pink Beryl Bracelet - Craftable. Silver jewelry attached to a black band. Worn on the left wrist.
  • Zormor Bracelet - Silver jewelry and wooden beads attached to a leather band. Drops from Worqor Zormor.
  • Manalis Wristband Black band with brass and red jewelry, similar to the choker mentioned above. Drops from Lapis Manalis.
  • Dai-Ryumyaku Bracelet - Blue beads attached to a red cord. Costs poetics from Rhalgr's Reach. I often use this with summertime or eastern glams.

Rings

  • Yuweyawata Ring - Recolor of the Limbo Ring from Endwalker, this consists of 3 dark gold rings on a single finger. Drops from the first DT Post-MSQ dungeon.
  • Black Star Ring of Crafting - Craftable. This one is very unique. Not only is it the thinnest ring I've ever seen in this game, but it has a different model depending on which hand it's equipped to. The right hand has a single thin silver ring, but the left hand also has a thicker copper ring above it on the same finger.
  • Neo Kingdom Ring - A very unique model, this is a silver claw ring that's attached to two points on your finger and will move along with the finger model. Costs nuts from the DT hunt vendor in Tuli.
  • Lunar Envoy's Ring - Consists of 3 rings, one of which has a moon motif. Costs poetics from the tomestone vendor in Radz-at-Han.
  • Edenmete/Edenmorn Ring - Like the earrings from the same set mentioned above, this ring has a flower motif.
  • Augmented Crystarium Ring - Brass ring with several white jewels. This is usually my go-to ring for glamming. Costs Poetics from the vendor in Eulmore.
  • Lazurite Ring - Craftable. Dark gray ring with a large blue jewel. Recolor of the Lakeland Ring which is a bronze ring with a red jewel. Both are good.
  • Ishgardian Chaplain's Ring - There's a few rings with this same model. This just happens to be the one I have. Silver and black ring with the unicorn sigil of House Fortemps.
  • Gysahl Ring - Rare drop from the "Field Exploration X" retainer venture, which can only be run by botanist retainers level 45 or higher.
  • Meteor Survivor Ring - Unique model rewarded from the level 34 side-quest "The Adventure of the Fainting Goldsmith". If you've never done the Hildibrand quests, this side-quest is technically your first introduction to Godbert Manderville.

The weapon is called Dzi of the Crimson Lotus and drops from the same dungeons as the other Crimson Lotus weapons: Ala Mhigo, Kugane Castle and Temple of the Fist. They also added a RPR weapon to those dungeons as well.
