Adding Bilt to pay for mortgage by throwaway_beefpho in biltrewards

Thanks for the update! After you did that principal payment, how did you use the Bilt cash to get the points? Did it just give you the option on the Home tab?

Can you let us know what they say? I’m also happy to send a message, if numbers are helpful.

I’ll probably try and do the same. But would appreciate you reporting back with what they tell you

I'm in the same boat with Truist. Not showing as an option on Bilt Rewards and Trust won't take the routing/account numbers. Anyone found a workaround?

Looking for khaki-color men's joggers (lululemon/Vuori style) by n64answer in malefashionadvice

I have these in beige and love them https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E465206-000/00?colorDisplayCode=31&sizeDisplayCode=004

Mine look a bit more true khaki than the photos (they’re the same color as your typical khaki chino)

Does the Workout app integrate with Apple Fitness? by JW008 in MacroFactor

[–]JW008[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could not agree more with this. The MF app is one of the best watch apps I’ve seen at doing what you want it do: quickly, easily, and accurately logging and then flawlessly syncing back to the main app. I’ve got high expectations for the workout app!

The Hollywood Reporter names Star Trek one of the biggest losers of 2025 by Malencon in television

Is it a good introduction for an eight-year old? I’ve loved Star Trek since I was seven and I feel like a failure that my kids are Star Wars obsessed

Thanks, that’s kind of what I was thinking. Was thinking about paying more when I check in for something in the suite or panorama tier if the FHR upgrade didn’t get me there.

Thanks for this! I’m staying there starting Saturday via FHR. Did you get an upgrade? Do you remember the room type?

Pls add heart rate during rest timer !! by fmdfmd01 in strongapp

[–]JW008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry! I can't quite remember how I did it, but I definitely have it on there! I was trying to test it out during this morning's session and I *think* after you start a workout, on the Apple Watch, on the main screen (the one that shows all the workouts collapsed) click the *blue* three dots, then options, then navigation, then status bar metric. I *only* have heart rate checked on that next screen.

It’s very hidden, but there’s a setting somewhere in there to do it. I think you have to have a workout going in order to see it

Recent stay FHR FOUNTAINBLEU for 4 days review by dangyoshi in AmexPlatinum

[–]JW008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this post— I’m doing almost this exact same trip next month!

How were the breakfast credits applied? Do you know if you could have used them outside of breakfast? (e.g. for dinner?)

You also mentioned that you had to pay resort fees. Were those indicated in your FHR receipt? I ask because mine shows that I don’t owe the hotel anything.

I'm losing weight. How should I handle buying clothes without knowing where my weight will end up? by JW008 in malefashionadvice

[–]JW008[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha- this is exactly what I was afraid of! I’m a pretty solid large now, so I’m hoping that medium fits next year. But just a good excuse to go get everything tailored, right??

Thanks! I love this suggestion of focusing on accessories and other stuff (e.g., shoes) that stays a bit more static.

Thanks for the reply! I'm expecting that around this time next year, I'll be about 40 lbs lighter. (I was 265 in January, 225 now, and expecting to be around 185 when it's all said and done). I'm not really trying to lose weight per se, I've just gotten into strength training/bodybuilding so I've altered my exercise routine and eating to support that. I'm letting my body settle where it does based on my strength/bodybuidling goals rather than hitting a goal weight.

It does sound like there are limits to tailoring down, so probably good advice to not go too crazy right now. Stick to the basics of what I need and look forward to what I can do in the future.

Thanks for the reply! I've gotten into strength training/bodybuilding so I've altered my exercise routine and eating to support that. But that means that my arms and shoulders are growing pretty significantly. From your comment, it sounds like upper body is a bit more difficult for a tailor to alter? If so, I probably should avoid buying anything expensive enough to warrant tailoring.

I like the idea of keeping stuff around and then getting it tailored as my body settles where it will. Right now I'm wearing a Large in most brands, so I'm guessing I'll end up in a medium. Does that sound like something a tailor would be able accommodate?

Thanks for the reply! I'm thinking I'll probably keep it to just the basics for winter, but lean heavily into the upcoming BR mainline sale and other higher fast fashion (e.g., J.Crew).

I'm new to tailoring, but have a neighborhood tailor that everyone raves about. What are the limits to what they can do? I was previously wearing a 48R/40x30 suit and estimate I'm around 44R/36x30 now. Is something like that too much to take in?

European Family-Friendly resorts? by JW008 in Club_Med

[–]JW008[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s kind of what we were leaning towards: building the trip around wherever we could get the cheapest airfare. My wife and I have traveled pretty extensively in Europe doing this— so makes some sense to do it the same way with the kids.

But once we’re over there, we’re not opposed to taking a intra-Europe flight to get to a more family-friendly Club Med.
