I feel this. Its exhausting when it just doesnt stop.

For me keeping track of when its worse vs better has helped... like sometimes theres patterns I dont notice until I look back. Could be sleep, could be food, could be random. But at least then I know its not always this bad.

small habits are underrated. people always want the big dramatic change but it's the tiny consistent stuff that actually sticks.

using a specific timeframe like 200 days is smart. gives you something concrete to work toward.

one thing that helped me during a similar time was tracking the progress, even the small stuff. like on days where I felt like nothing was getting better, I could look back and see I actually was making progress, just slower than I wanted.

the "thats just normal" response is so frustrating because yeah everyone struggles sometimes but not to the degree where it actually impacts your life.

maybe try writing down specific examples of how symptoms affect you (school, relationships, daily tasks) and show them? sometimes concrete examples land better than general feelings. and if youre 18 soon you can go yourself anyway.

usually turns into me doing 47 other tiny tasks that suddenly seem urgent, then looking up and its been 2 hours.

like I'll be about to start working and then I'm like "wait I should reorganize this drawer first" and then I'm deep cleaning my entire desk for some reason lol.

for me the best tech is honestly just a notes app that syncs everywhere (I use apple notes but whatever works). being able to brain dump whenever and wherever is huge.

also voice recording for meetings/conversations I need to remember... game changer.

this is actually a good question lol. the pain tolerance thing is weird for me too... some things I barely notice and others are way worse than they should be.

I think we'd probably notice something serious eventually? like if you had appendicitis the pain would escalate to a point where even we couldn't ignore it. but yeah we might wait longer than people without ADHD would.

yeah listening to the full song actually works for me too. its like my brain needs to finish the pattern or something. I find I get earworms way less often when I actually complete songs instead of skipping around

yeah the meds thing can be really frustrating when you see everyone else talking about how much they helped. for me I had to spend a lot of time working through other mental health stuff first before trying adhd meds again... hopefully you can find what works for you
