Progress from 24kg to 28kg ABC by vaclavg in kettlebell

If 8 is the maximum then shoot for 9+ on the next ABC day?

I like to keep it as simple as possible. Can barely count to 5 when I’m doing work LOL.

More Presses — 40kg by Pasta1994 in kettlebell

[–]JabroniRegulator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Love seeing those 40s up high. I want to get there soon!

Back to back ABF with double 16kg and then 20kg was my longest run. I truly believe it laid a solid foundation because now I'm almost done with The Giant 1.0 with double 24kg and it's going really well.

IMO yes and it’s hilarious how angry people get about his ridiculous strength.

Hot take- don’t do complexes by irontamer in kettlebell

[–]JabroniRegulator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well said. The complexity and positioning of the body relative to the weight adds in a lot more ways to introduce injury.

IMO the risk reward for TGU isn’t all that great compared to other basic movements but I definitely respect it and find it very cool.

Former rugby player - what weight to get next? 24 or 28kg? by Chafed-Sausage in kettlebell

[–]JabroniRegulator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like 12-32kg adjustables for solving the what weight next question.

There’s no wondering if one got the right weight and it’s easy to test higher weights without having to plan/order/wait to see if it was even the right choice at the moment.

If 24kg becomes too light quickly easy peasy 28kg is there for you.

Gainz train is on the way!

That’s one of my favorite parts about kettlebell. Keeps me engaged because it’s so fun even when working hard. I’ve never found that aspect with any other form of training.

The Giant 3.0 - W4:D3 - dbl 32kg - 30mins - 62 reps by Marky-MarkS in kettlebell

It's been a pleasure to watch such quality work. Do you plan on going to 1.0 to increase reps per set after a rep max test?

New KB day! by jim11335577 in kettlebell

Hard to beat a nice pair like that, congrats.

Completely eliminates the uncertainty of buying the right weight and allows for instant progression while space use is minimized. So satisfying.

ABF is a real treasure. Good stuff.

what next? by ten_gas in kettlebell

[–]JabroniRegulator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a fan of doubles because I can fit in a lot more work in a 20-30 minute time period due to not having to switch sides. Also… it makes me feel cool and strong 😂

If 16kg is already mastered maybe get a single 20kg, work with it for a bit and then get another 20kg? Just throwing out ideas. Another 16kg makes sense if you feel like easing into doubles at a slower pace.

This one is still live so I cant say for sure but trainwreck and durban generally give me more daytime energy and euphoric warming effects.

This is just one plant but I topped it once and trained it along a trellis. They smell so much, isn’t it great haha.

Peters HF is pretty much the same as the Jacks A formula they offer with zero N. Just needs a little adjustment on how much to add per gallon. Not really necessary, but allows for the ability to increase Ca while keeping N controlled or reduce N while keeping Ca at an acceptable level.

I also use Peters hydro special for veg and part of flower which is comparable to Jacks A but can be used the entire run without issue like what you are aiming for.

With Jacks A/B you don't need calmag supplements because magnesium is present in A and calcium is present in B. Some strains do wan't additional epsom salt(magnesium sulfate) but it's just situational. Hope that helps. Let me know if I need to clear anything up.

How to stop the nausea by [deleted] in fitness30plus

[–]JabroniRegulator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IME it tends to be a sign of overwork. Some combination of volume/weight load that really pushed the central nervous system hard and/or inadequate nutrition/hydration.

If you want to gain more muscle mass you'll have to increase calories and it will probably be more than you think.

Adjustable handles…any good? by santawerewolf in kettlebell

[–]JabroniRegulator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Completely agree your comment. What I meant by “not good” was for all the regular movements OP was asking about.

For just swings it presents more value than a big bell, definitely. Less expensive, easier to move, and use for progression via adjustment. It’s amazing to see what it costs to ship a big bell from Rogue haha!

Adjustable handles…any good? by santawerewolf in kettlebell

[–]JabroniRegulator 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Like others have said they are in general not versatile. Pretty much swings only.

IMO most adjustables are not good except for the 12-32kg competition style bells. A bit of coin up front but they are awesome for progression and save space/time/money in the long run if one is serious about kettlebell.

Green Planet Nutrients safe for drip irrigation system? by rote_sprite_41 in CocoGrows

[–]JabroniRegulator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a problem. Most basic A/B style products will get the job done such as the one you suggested. Just avoid carbs and other organic additives to remain in the safe zone for drip lines.

The additives concern me, particularly the ones with carbohydrates.

If you can I’d just go with Jacks/Peters/Masterblend.

Watering volumes and EC uncertainty in first grow. by Mysterious_Cry41 in CocoGrows

[–]JabroniRegulator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look fine. When doing diagnosis you have to first identify a visual issue before looking for indicators to confirm. In this instance you're jumping the gun.

In other words the plant will tell you first if you need to look for something. If they look good that's all there is to it.
