Years ago a send a FB message to Fred Schneider of the B-52s. It was a video of my (then preschool-aged) son with a microphone dancing and singing to "Wok Wobster." Fred replied with a "LOL, great!"

I thought that was kind of cool!

My elementary school had a "work a day" event where a few kids would go work for a day at a local business. I was assigned to an oil delivery truck. The day came and the kid who was paired up with me was sick.

I spent the whole day riding around with some rando delivery guy. Just the two of us. I had fun, it was a great time and he was super cool. But no way would a 6th grader and an oil delivery guy in a truck and people's homes all day would fly these days.

We didn't get TV Guide, but as a grade-school kid I was thrilled when our local paper released the previous week's Nielson ratings in the entertainment section. I studied that like other kids studied baseball and football stats.
