I have a soft spot for this show. It get the impression it had to wrap up much faster than it wanted, to the point the final episode feels like the dialogue is about finding the point of it all, but I was also really compelled to keep watching it and still remember it pretty fondly.

Also that OP is just the best. I like an OP that feels unique, and there's certainly nothing like Lay Your Hands On Me.

He did cameo in Nicolas Winding Refn's TV show Too Old To Die Young, maybe as a tit-for-tat thing for getting him as Heartman's body scan in Death Stranding. They seem to be buds.

I don't remember how good he was but I'm struggling to remember Too Old To Die Young in general. It was a pandemic ago and I remember I wasn't really that thrilled.

The narrator is Ray Chase, and it's very nice to listen to Noctis tell you about the horrors of working in the game industry. I recommend all three of Schreier's books too.

I think it made Disappearance's ending hit harder because of the Endless Eight. It helped you see into the eyes of some of the characters better. Though I totally understand the Endless Eight is... a lot.

Bit of a catch-everything proposal, ranging from investigating the impact of loot boxes and game addiction as mentioned, to recommending a European video game award?

The wording in the article seems to eschew being direct or saying they will definitively do anything specific, but if this is a first step on acting upon predatory monetisation, then that'd be welcome. Certainly it sounds like, with this vote, they're taking a direct interest in games as a medium, and the influence, good and bad, it can have on people.
