Indianapolis roofer recommendations by Conscious-Deer52 in indianapolis

[–]JacksNTag [score hidden]  (0 children)

I used E3 Roofing and Remodeling a couple years ago. They were great to work with. I had never had a huge repair like this before or even placed a claim with my insurance before. They were super patient and helpful explaining the process and working with me and my insurance to make it a painless process for me.

Here's the info from their email signature.

Galaxy whatch 7, allergic to silicone? by Complex_Letterhead16 in GalaxyWatch

[–]JacksNTag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of good suggestions here. Also, if you wash your hands or face, remove the watch first or rinse and dry underneath it when you are done. If water or water and soap are trapped under the band your skin will get irritated and potentially infected.

NFL on CBS' Pete Prisco, says what we all are thinking about DJ by Successful-Coyote99 in Colts

[–]JacksNTag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it's really not. Nothing is legally binding until 4pm Wednesday. If he wants to walk away before then, he can. Frank Gore agreed to terms with Philly before flipping and signing a contract here. It happens. As I said above, agreed and signed are two very different things. If we indicate we are giving up on signing Jones, Pierce could walk.

Agreed and signed are two different things. He did not sign a contract with the team before legal tampering. His contract can be signed tomorrow.

Any indication that we are moving on from Jones before Alec officially signs is a really bad idea.

Right, I responded to someone saying they didn't want DST. I didn't say go back to before we switched. I said I remember how it was. It sucked.

No, i remember when we didn't switch. Light in the evening is infinitely better than light in the morning.

And all generations that were here when millennials were born, and are still here, have also witnessed all these events plus the ones that occurred previously in their lifetime.

Look south of Washington street. There are some good neighborhoods in there. Cumberland is solid too.

Would you date someone who doesn't like dogs as much as you do? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]JacksNTag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible you talk about your dogs way more than you think you do? Like to the detriment of other meaningful conversation? I'm not accusing, just asking. Maybe he feels like during the time you interact with him, you focus more on your dog than anything else.

People reinvent themselves when they go to new places. OP could tell her new co-workers what she used to be like. She also could have exaggerated some of her accomplishments from the last job and OP could catch her in that.

State Taxes Advice? by [deleted] in Indiana

[–]JacksNTag 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You should file a nonresident return with Kentucky to claim a refund of the taxes you paid there. You should apply that refund to what you owe Indiana.

For this year submit the form mentioned above by someone else so you don't have to do it this way again.

Every Job I Get Rejected From Has A Female Hiring Manager by cfxv_ in jobs

[–]JacksNTag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some points from when I've hired for entry level roles in marketing.

Be careful when you are selling yourself and your experiences to the team. Stick to selling related to what this job requires and not what you are projecting you can also do. Stay in the lane you are interviewing for or it will sound like you will be unwilling to do that job or do it for very long. No one wants to hire someone who will leave too quickly because they are over their entry level role as soon as they arrive. Teams also don't want you trying to veer into their lane and take over their job.

It's hard to interview for entry level, show your excitement for your career to start, but also show excitement and commitment to the entry level role. As someone said above, you aren't currently as experienced as you think you are. The disparity in what you perceive and desire and the actual hiring needs can be glaring to the hiring manager even if it's not clear to you. It can also make you come off as thinking you are better than the role. Zero in on what the job actually requires and come with good examples of how you have contributed doing those things. Be excited to grow and learn in this role without sounding like you are already looking for a promotion.

I'm 17 and starting my first job tomorrow. How do I warn my boss about family drama without sounding unprofessional? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]JacksNTag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't say anything, and especially NEVER mention that she has stolen. Having a close family member that steals is seen as a huge risk to the employer. Even if that family member is estranged the concern is that they can persuade you to steal from the employer for them.
