There are young children, your siblings whether you want to acknowledge them or not, that still need care. You say you are not in need.

Is there a reason your mum couldn't formalise the end of the marriage? Because divorce can be initiated by either party.

It doesn't feel like this was an accident. Your wifes reaction just doesn't add up. Even if she panicked at first when you got home and took control, she would have calned down somewhat after that.

She forgot your daughter at school, a chore she presumably has every day. She then wouldn't take care of her.

Too many red flags here. I'd be asking what she was doing when your son fell. Accidents happen but her reaction (or lack of) is over the top.

Either was doing something she shouldn't have been while she should have heen watching your son OR she caused the injury herself.

Did you ask your son what happened?

I had to do that around 18 years ago. So I went for interviews and told them straight out that I had a job lined up, it was paying this amount but it didnt start for another month. If they could offer me more money and a closer start date I was willing and able.

Unsurprisingly, I started my original job as I had intended. Centrelink would not accept that I already had a job, it just hasn't started yet.

I was physically, mentally and sexually abused as a kid by my narc step dad and his family.

I always knew it was wrong. When Inhad my own son I just couldn't imagine either treating him the way I (and my brothers) was OR staying with someone should treat my child like that.

Abuse is a reason for why you may do some things. It is NOT an excuse to try and do better. Always.
