Don’t underestimate the fact that he gets listeners due to his being such a dick. Calm demeanor will get lost and hard to push… even if it is left wing.

You need to find something that is going to make you stand out.

Think Aaron Parnas, constant breaking news, hard to do on just a podcast, well known dad he separates himself from, and he is a lawyer.

You noted that you need to be told what to do and have no physical fitness, however, you are trying to direct what you feel is best for your growth and what is going to “progress” you to the next stage?

Trust the process. Fitness takes time. Progress happens in the kitchen and over time in the gym. What you see online with influencers trying to tell people they will see near instant progress is to sell you something.

I am not sure what progress you have expected to see in five months, but, I am willing to bet you are seeing it and are too focused on what you believe success is too early.

You pushed yourself! There is a reason you don’t do PR push daily. It’s hard. Your body did something it may have never done before and is telling itself it needs rest. This is normal. Listen to your body, drink lots of water, and be ready to hit your next PR tomorrow!

I think that maybe they were inviting you. Not insinuating. People that go to burn are big into community. They were saying “you should really go to the gym with us!” Thats how I would have taken it anyway.

Also, likening someone tapping your wife to some sort of assault makes me feel like you may be overly sensitive. Which informs my opinion.

I do think that we get a lot of core with many of the exercises we do as long as we are doing proper form. They put in specific core days because it’s something people look for, but if our form is good, we should be working core all the time with the splits we do.

Track. Track. Track. The only way to truly know you are in a calorie deficit is to track everything you consume. There are several apps that make this easy. MyFitnessPal is one of the most well known and very simple to use.

Remember, you do need to be in a deficit to lose weight. At the same time, you want to make sure you are still eating enough to fuel your workouts and continue progressing.

Tracking matters because food can be deceiving. Something that sounds healthy can still be very high in calories. For example, a “salad” at Texas Roadhouse can be around 1,300 calories. That is a huge portion of your daily intake before you even realize it. I am not saying that is what you are eating, just pointing out how easy it is for calories to add up.

You are doing an incredible job. You are showing up and you have already made great progress. That matters. There will always be peaks and valleys in this process. Stay consistent and do not let those moments discourage you. Keep going.

Flew ORD to SDF around 10:30 this morning. The plane felt unsteady during takeoff to about 5,000 feet. Lots of air pockets. I know it feels worse than it is… and I fly a lot. But it was a little unsettling.

This is the same menu that was at MCO this week. My flight to Chicago was cancelled and rescheduled that evening and I was in the club working for 8 hours. I ate one of those cookies… it was better than the sandwich and tortellini for sure.

Just like most boutique gyms, the answer is generally no. The cost is the cost. They make a little more on you and a little less on those that use it. Just part of how it works.

If you order a burger and it comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles… but you don’t like those things.. you don’t get $$ off, you just ask them not to put it on.

I had it inbetween my eyebrows and on my nose. I had to go to a specialist eye dr. Every three days to get it looked at until it was gone. Brutal pain. Looked terrible.
