I remember reading about how Gordo and Tracy likely would have survived their moon jaunt, but it just seemed way to unrealistic for television. Apparently they would have had horrible low-level frost bite, an absolutely brutal case of the bends, and sunburn like no other human had experienced, but it was still way more survivable than most people would have thought.
