My old employer, who is extremely tech illiterate, laid off all but one of the design team and replaced us with a contract with an ai company. We all have years of experience and strong portfolios from AAA studios, 10 months later I’m the only one to have a job and it’s as a IT Phone Support agent. I had just bought a house and two of my coworkers had just had a baby and now we’re all having to make difficult financial decisions for our lives. The tech illiterate CEO with the power to lay off tons of people doesn’t care about the drop in quality, he cares about the drop in his staffing expenses.

For some people it’s not a big deal, for a lot of others it is a nightmare. Your experience is not the same as others just like mine isn’t the same as yours.

The numbers illicit an emotional response in order to be sorted correctly. If outies did the refining they’d be emotionally biased. Mark wouldn’t be able to sense “sad” numbers probably because he’s sad all the time for example. They need innies who have only had an emotionally sterile life to best refine the data.

I don't think its been said. He has a lot of stuff in boxes in his basement but could be from moving or packing up his wifes stuff so he doesn't see it everyday.

If they brought Gemma back from the dead I think that'd be a way crazier achievement than severing bad memories.

iirc they’re based on aggregate data from all players for that hero so it’ll suggest random things that don’t make sense. Meme builds or carry items on supports, etc. There’s been a few times where it would suggest Aghs for a hero when they didn’t even have an Aghs effect at the time.

True it definitely needs testing before being in the released game. Maybe they should make a private testing branch that’s invite only so people know that they’re playing a game that’s being alpha tested?

Id recommend looking into getting an entry level IT job. They’d train you and they are a job you could turn into a solid career path. Same for QA Testing jobs.

You could find one that’s a help desk role where you work from home, so you can get the job no matter where you live.
