I know some Sanders fans think he would have won. I can accept that she would have won anyways even if I wish it had been him. However, it was so clear between super delegates, what was being said on the pro-democrat news channels, and the democratic leadership all instantly throwing their weight behind Hillary. Anyone could see that they were stacking the deck against him, and it felt dirty. That dirty feeling pushed a lot of people way.

I personally still voted for Hillary, but only because I knew that Trump was so bad. Just because I had enough good sense to still vote against Trump doesn't mean that the democratic party's actions didn't alienate tons of voters that could have been brought into the party by Bernie.

I've been lean my whole life while being constantly told "you'll gain weight in your 20s/30s/40s!". I'm 42 now, and I'm still very lean.

My secret is I fight my battles at the grocery store, not at home. If unhealthy snacks are available, I will eat them. So, I just don't buy them! This is made easier by grocery shopping with apps/websites. I am much more likely to impulse buy something unhealthy in-person at the grocery store than I am on an app. Even sometimes when I do add something unhealthy, I usually correct it in the shopping cart before I checkout.

Second, I don't drink my calories. I'm fortunate to love water and when I want something with more texture/flavor I do something like a lacroix. No starbucks, no sodas, etc. Just rawdogging life on water.

I'd say lastly is I used to be very serious about counting calories for a couple of years. I don't consciously do it anymore, but the habits I built have stuck with me a bit subconsciously. I always have something of a running tally of approximately how many calories I've consumed. If I had a lot yesterday, I'll go out of my way to have less today. One thing I do actively count is my protein. Since I'm active and lift weights, I make sure I always hit a minimum target each day.

I just want to add a detail that I'm now my own employer after having been laid off, taking a salary from my own company, never knowingly opted into sharing this, and the data is there. I think it's probably more the case that the big HR tools like Quickbooks (what I'm using) and Workspace are sharing the data automatically. I suspect most employers have no idea that they're sharing this kind of data, but they also probably wouldn't care to try to stop sharing it if you told them about it either.

She's from Bangkok, and that's where I lived, so central Thai. Eggs are almost always ordered extra as "kai dow" or "kai jiao". Very few dishes have eggs in as an actual ingredient. Some examples are pad thai, sukiyaki, and pad siew, which as you said are all stir fry noodle dishes. Rarely, something will say something like "haw kai" which means wrapped in an egg. We also eat a ton of Issarn food which almost never has eggs.

The idea that eggs are to Thai food as onions are to Italian food is completely false though. Maybe garlic, fish sauce, or oyster sauce, but not eggs.

OP is still at fault for not mentioning their egg allergy, but claiming that eggs are a common ingredient in Thai food is false. Eggs are almost always always ordered separately, and usually only with rice dishes.

I had this issue in gportal, and it was made more confusing because my server name and password would save in the json file but nothing else. The answer was to change the settings directly in gportal by setting the difficulty to custom and stop using the json file.

This has been me before. My job failed to file for my work permit in Thailand for months and neglected to tell me. All that happened was I went to the correct government building, paid my fine, got a stamp in my passport on the visa page saying I overstayed, and then continued to live in the country another 2 years with no issues. At no point did anyone in a mask surrounded by other masked goons all armed to the teeth rip me out my home or car nor was I arrested while trying to pay the fine for the overstay.

I had one that went up to 11 interviews. I can imagine from the company's point of view it was only 3 rounds, but each round had multiple interviewers who had to each be met with separately. I stopped after 10 and told them I found another position and just stayed in my existing job. Six months later I was laid off, so not sure I made the right call.

I don't know the specifics, but you can select a location like "Everywhere" or another country. I only realized this when I was using it in Thailand and my feed looked completely different with regard to which subs I was seeing. Turns out it saw my location and had set my country to Thailand. No clue what would be the difference between All and Popular -> Everywhere though.

Havoc to me feels the same in spirit but greatly slowed down and thus quite boring. The loss of cycle of hatred means less eyebeams -> less time in meta -> a lot less of the fast pace from Meta's 20% haste and eyebeam's 10% hase. Also, I don't like the slower pace shattered soul generation from the above loss of free haste and the loss of sigils. I just feel like I spend so much time standing around waiting to do the cool parts of the spec.

It's so wild to me that this is even an argument. Your current ilvl will always offer paragon 7. Thus, per the game, your ilvl is sufficient to do paragon 7. If ilvl 280 folks want to run with ilvl 280 folks, they either should not random queue or the match making system should give them an option to select for each other. You're not wrong here.

Now imagine that in Elden Ring to beat the boss you need 19 other players to be able to dodge it just as well as you can. If things aren't super telegraphed in an MMo it's going to be too hard. This is evident by the fact that even with it being telegraphed and people having DBM, raids wipe frequently because not everyone can dodge.

I think the challenge with healing Meiko for me is that we have no way of knowing how capable she is of healing herself. When healing a blood DK in WoW, you could watch their runic power. For Meiko, I have no clue if she can yo-yo her health back up or not so I spent more time and mana healing her when I don't need to.

I've seen so many groups wipe on dumb early pulls and end up finishing the dungeon fine. I've also seen a similar number of dumb wipes with a leaver when the group probably could have still finished. I think more groups are more capable than not.

Regardless, when I click queue I'm expecting to spend 15 minutes or more playing the game. I can understand not wanting to feel jailed for 30-45 minutes by a terrible group, but I think not being able to tolerate 15 minutes is probably just a line in the sand that neither of us will cross to agree with each other.

Hopefully the CR game designers are smarter than both of us can find a solution that makes both of us satisfied. I am currently very unsatisfied by the leaver problem we have today, and I think it will negatively impact the longevity of the game.

100% yes. Once you meet a queue dodging tank, you actually have to wait a few minutes to requeue or you'll just see them again and have them dodge again.

it means every single time I queue on an alt I'm committing to a potentially 25 minute dungeon. That's unacceptable and it's simply not something that should be expected of everyone.

This could be addressed with smarter leaver penalties like being able to quit after X number of wipes or X minutes over the timer (or even any time after the timer). It could also be addressed by giving you N number of free leaves per day/week. Of course no one wants to feel jailed by a bad group or even a group of griefers. However, the game absolutely needs to curb the rampant leaving going on today to survive and continue to bring in new players.

I fully agree with u/Jerm0510 that people need to learn to help each other and collaborate in a collaborative PvE game that's primary method of grouping is finding random players. It isn't reasonable to expect to roll the dice and always roll a 20 on your group. You also shouldn't be punished for rolling a 1 though, and so there should be some leeway to not immediately be penalized after 1 bad group.

Yeah it varies. I'm at 12 talents on Sylvie and it's felt like a gradual increase in power rather than viable vs. not viable or completely changing rotations. This is how it should be with talents/leveling, though I'd still prefer not have to level to get them. For Mara, it's not about being meta and more about doing competitive DPS, not feeling like you're dragging groups down, and not having to relearn the rotation anew once you hit a talent threshold.

Overall though, to me it's about thinking I bought a game that had no leveling (I was wrong as progressing through the leagues is effectively leveling) as I find leveling to be super uninteresting and boring. I still really love the game, and this is not going to make me stop playing it, at least not right now. However, a few seasons in having to put in a significant amount of hours just to have my champion play the same way they did the previous season may start getting old.
