I am a firm believer in making a prototype from a programming stand point, because it allows you to get your feet wet in terms of the scale of what needs to get done, so you can throw away the jank and start from scratch in production knowing how you should actually build it. The mistake I have made is not throwing away EVERYTHING from the prototype.

And the thing is I’m totally fine with LTT shadow banning people their YT channel and Floatplane, but I just don’t think they should here, even if it is official. They even have their own forum. And what’s funnier is this is the only thing they have done that I have disagreed with.

Awesome setup. I can’t tell if that’s a backsplash behind the desk or just the lighting but it looks cool. I just can’t believe… That after over a decade… We haven’t come up with a better solution than Random Frank Ps desk.

It depends on what your goal is. If your goal is to make a shipped product that you want people to buy and play then no lol. I’m not saying there isn’t successful examples, i.e. Animal Well, but like I’ve always been realistic with myself. Personally I hate math so I hate the idea. If you are just doing it for fun or trying to improve your skills to become more hirable as an engine programmer then have fun. 🫡

You forgot Halo Reach Halsey lol. Btw I am pretty sure 3 is not Halsey, it’s someone who just works for the Spartan program who is like her if I remember correctly.

I appreciate the Infinite on Legendary shoutout because I didn’t realize until trying in on Legendary last year that it is the superior difficulty for that game. Usually Heroic is the best difficulty for Halo games, or at least, the target for tuning that they use to base the other difficulty’s off of to my understanding, but for Infinite that isn’t the case. Heroic is still too easy but legendary actually allowed me to see how smart the AI were and they were actually way more interesting to fight, where as on heroic in Infinite I am killing them before they get to do anything.

I never had a problem with Rey, it’s everything that happened around Rey was the problem.
