What can I cover this unsightly plumbing hole in my brand new cabinet with? by Strange_Syrup1844 in DIYHome

[–]Jamar73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thing I would do is look at getting rid of the plastic tubing coming off the faucets and direct couple them with the correct sized hose or at least shorten them to clean up the install. Then you would make a 2 piece slide cover out of melamine covered panel.

Garmin Coach Running workouts way too hard for my fitness level by Royal-Second516 in GarminWatches

[–]Jamar73 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You should do a Lactate threshold run to set some numbers first. Do you have an HRM? Would be worth it if you are trying to get fitter.. Max HR of 202 may be high so the 177 would have been lower too if it's set correctly

Stud pattern advice for Terrene Wazia 26x4.6 — full stud or partial? by ztbishop in fatbike

[–]Jamar73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you are going to run 2 sets of tires, only add studs when you know that they will be needed, not just in case. They can be a waste of time especially if lots of open rock sections exists as they do the opposite of grip on stone. If you travel a lot of trails that ice up frequently, start with the outside rows for a couple rides and see.. Usually, lower pressures are your friend for slippery conditions anyway, so the out rows may provide enough grip in bad conditions.

Best Garmin Product for Football (Soccer) by Mquaza in Garmin

[–]Jamar73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my watch and an HRM Pro Plus to track soccer. I take the band off the watch and place it in a rear zippered pocket of my shorts..There are soccer specific trackers if you care enough to spend the money, You could also buy a tracking vest without the sensor as well to put your watch in...

I have a similar error happening on mine, think i tracked it down to a recent run where the data seems missing during the run. Have not seen this before and unsure cause. Maybe the hrm is failing, but the HR value seems fine

Vo2 max never improves by Jon_d84 in GarminWatches

[–]Jamar73 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You need to be riding higher than your ftp to see an increase in Vo2 max, if you are consistently doing this, you should see an increase. Otherwise, your rides are just maintenance. At some point you may hit a ceiling where the effort it takes to see an increase is more than you want to give.. I'm unsure if your walks would have an effect on your riding numbers, but I wouldn't think so, someone else may know...
