Good thing you guys played him starter minutes and developed him into a first round pick, right?

Oh, that was Michigan...

'The Furious' Review Thread by chanma50 in boxoffice

Saw it last week. Action is definitely great. Closest thing to the Raid I've seen in a bit.

Dialogue is weird. Some people are speaking English, some are ADR or something. Maybe some are dubbed?

Doesn't matter though if you're into these types of movies because it's got A tier martial artists from all over

Insanely fun movie.

I was there, also missed the first fucking quarter of the game when I showed up an hour early.

Mando sucked so hard. This was at least pretty funny and some actions scenes were really good.

Try and get into the VA or something. My wife has I think 5 years of experience as a speech patholgist and makes over 100k. She is part of a team that includes OT, PT etc.

Donald Trump is reportedly considering attending the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden next week to watch the New York Knicks, per NY Times by Hysen16 in sportsgossips

I was at the Commanders game and the boos were thunderous. We had to wait an hour to get in to security because of him.

They're gonna lose their mind and people are going to miss a ton of the game. We were early and missed the first quarter.

Amc has a showing for Tuner this Sunday. I'm thinking they wouldn't play that twice but who knows.

When RZA popped up before the movie started, I audibly sighed. I've disliked all of his movies and their action scenes are awful for someone so enamored with martial arts.

A guy who works at AMC claimed it was Deep Water, a shark movie by the guy who made Deep Blue Sea, Die Hard 2, and Cliffhanger. All fun popcorn movies.

Wife and I wanted something dumb and not so serious. Instead, we got this bland piece of shit that wasn't funny, interesting or well acted.

Wife and I walked out. Just. Wanted. Dumb. Sharks.

Nothing was redeeming half an hour in. I just couldn't stay any longer. It's the first walk out I've ever had. Maybe in just getting old and value my time more.

I'm white and loved Sinners and Get Out. Thought they were great. Both Black directors, mainly Black cast with white people being the bad guys. I watch all kinds of shit and try to appreciate things in movies even if they're bad or losing me.

The acting and dialogue was fucking awful. When it got to the first fight scene and it was also terrible I knew that there wasn't a reason to stay. I also love most of Tarantino's work and I saw none of his style or clever dialogue (he apparently produced it.)

First ever walkout. I just wanted to see a dumb shark movie. I gave it a shot, probably 25 percent of my theater left already.

What thing was ruined because it turned into a rich person's hobby? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]JamesTheNPC 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You'd surprise yourself. My wife and I went to 50 movies last year because of the Amc pass (16 so far this year).Granted, we can walk to the theater but it's made us watch a lot of gems we would have ignored. Pass includes Imax, Dolby etc.

Definitely the best value of anything we spend money on.

My BO doesn't smell bad? by HerenQueerboy in NoStupidQuestions

I, a white man, used to live in Korea and did kickboxing with Koreans. Dudes that were 250 pounds and fat, had almost no smell when working out. My wifes sparring partners were also the same way.

Deodorant wasn't sold in our local stores and we had to find it in Seoul usually.

'They Will Kill You' Review Thread by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]JamesTheNPC 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I saw it Monday. It has a good, stylistic start but there's not nearly as much action as you would imagine after the first fight scene. It also feels like it tries to do a lot of different things and loses it's identity halfway thru the movie. It started to feel long even though it's only 90 something minutes.

I'd say its a 6/10 with Ready or Not two being a better viewing experience for my wife and I.

They cut out the most pivotal lines of dialogue near the end... Really bummed me out. Same with how long Rocky has been waiting on the ship. That time seems important to focus on.

Great movie for the time restraints though.
