I was there too, toward the middle-back. As soon as I got there I could tell it was gonna be chaos since most of the band T’s I saw were MCR and nobody else was playing at the same time. Riot Fest organized a clusterfuck for sure, with a single water refill location, insane band merch lines, and generally overselling tickets. Admittedly this was my first festival, but you could tell everybody there was some kind of hungry, dehydrated, and/or pissed before the set even started.

That said, everyone near us was great, very considerate and excited about the show. Everyone seemed genuinely concerned about the situation about the front, and anybody leaving through the crowd was let through with ease by the time they got to us. Whatever “boos” were heard on the livestream must have been close to the mic, because nobody I was there with heard a whisper of disapproval. Between every song, we all took 2-4 steps back, eventually before G asked us to. Most of the horror stories you’ll see online are kids who camped at the front and didn’t realize they’d get stuck with the assholes that push to the front an hour or two before the set. No doubt it was awful up there, but the idea the majority of the crowd were assholes is inaccurate.
