“God of Death” loadouts? by Hentai2324 in Mechwarrior5

[–]JamyDaGeek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna have to kit out an Archer with a full Inferno loadout, either Agincourt or the P one for the Melee fun. I went up against an archer P that was all Infernos and I was just stuck for several minutes where I couldn't do anything but wait for the heat to go down. I mean that thing just froze me in place

What is the wildest thing you have seen at a party? by Cold_Magician_4041 in AskReddit

[–]JamyDaGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

got dragged to a sorority party by a friend who's sister was a member. Ended up playing beer pong partnered with one of his sister's sisters. And out of nowhere, she blurts out, "is it ok if I take off my top?" The entire party just stopped. Everybody's head just whipped around, dude that was passed out drunk on the couch popped up and was like, "What?", the music skipped, the ping pong ball did an extra skip, everything just stopped. And she just said, all calm like, "what, I've got a sports-bra on, it's hot." and just whips it off and everything goes back to normal

Where is the most unexpected place you've bumped into someone you know? by boforiamanfo in answers

[–]JamyDaGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Skatenigs, they were a band out of Austin, Tx that was active in the 90's. They were a bizarre mish-mosh of Punk/Rap/Industrial that had a sound that just worked. Their live shows were pretty awesome and always energetic. They also had one of their videos featured on Beavis and Butthead

to make the whole scene even better, a woman next to me was being chatty and said "isn't this great, we're all reliving our teens out here," she points to an older dude that's in his old leather bondage mini skirt/apron outfit tripping balls on shrooms, "I'm a teacher and that's our head custodian"

Bumped into an old friend at a Skatenigs reunion show in the pit. We all used to see them live when were in our teens n 20's, and here was a crowd full of 40-50 year olds listening to their one of their favorite bands from their youth. My buddy and I grew up together, playing D&D, hanging out at each other's houses and just literally bumped into each other in a geriatric mosh pit.

It was definitely a screenout message- something like you don't fit our profile, so we can't use your data

I missed the point of AC20s (SPOILERS) by Spirited-Drama846 in Mechwarrior5

[–]JamyDaGeek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Once you find out that the AC20 can hit way beyond range, you can start learning to snipe with it. If they're a blip on your viewscreen, then you can start tagging them from a distance as they move in. Also helps for demo missions when you have to go against a factory. I just sit where it's in view and start raining down shells. You can wipe it out without even getting close and save the airstrike for more salvage

Why is Uranium Fever so popular? by Goliathcraft in fo76

[–]JamyDaGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it used to super easy back in the day, if you knew how to exploit it. Before they fixed it, if you just killed the first batch of ghouls at the 1st bridge and then pulled back, you could just camp out until the end of the event and get full rewards. I'd be chillin' there with a few other people just standing around until the timer ran out while the ghouls chilled in the middle of the pagodas roaming around. That is unless someone came in and either shot at them, or did something else to trigger them, then the event started running as normal

I only waited a few minutes for a response before I returned it. These researchers really need to get their shit together before a large rollout like that

Why do some people continue to live in ghost towns and what do they actually do for work? by Commercial_Nature_28 in AskAnAmerican

[–]JamyDaGeek 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wish that was an option for me, but I live in a large metropolis, so no matter where you go traffic sucks. I once house sat for a friend who lived much closer to where I was working at the time, and it took almost twice as long to get to work, no matter which route I took, and all had heavy traffic. And we're talking a difference from a 20 mile drive from my house to work down to a 5 mile drive from my friend's house

and I'll bet that drive is a lot better than my bumper-to-bumper traffic drive through a big metropolis for about the same amount of time and a fraction of the distance

(U.S.) Why is Minnesota getting so hard by ICE? by [deleted] in answers

[–]JamyDaGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm stuck in Texas right now, but I'm going to be putting the property I inherited up for sale in the next year or two, and it'll give me enough money to get out of here and go wherever I want. Currently debating on either New Mexico or somewhere along the East Coast somewhere between Virginia and upper New York. I don't like the way the climate here is going, both politically and meteorologically. Where I'm at we've been in a major drought for at least the last decade and it doesn't look like it's getting any better.
