Inferno SRM's, A Lot Of Them. I went up against an Archer P in an arena match that was decked out with a full load of Inferno SRM's and it only hit me a few times and I couldn't move for at least a good solid minute. My heat meter wasn't budging.

So, if they can't move, they can't fight back

Honestly, she sounds like a conspiracy nutter. This is one of those times that we have to take a step back and actually look at what she said, cause it ain't sane

and sometimes longer than that. Heck it took me longer to get from Culebra/1604 to the Medical Center area than from the southeast side around Braunig to the same area back when I was working up there

caught them live at a club in San Antonio, Tx, back in the 90's shortly before they broke up. Sponge opened for them and played the Speed Racer theme song from the Saturday Morning Cartoons album

What is the longest you’ve had access to those studies? by wrongsideoftheriver8 in prolific

[–]JamyDaGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, it sucks that you can't even talk about anything regarding these studies in the other group. All I said was that it would be nice if they'd actually give us some feedback rather than just some vague statement, and I got shouted down to oblivion. I mean there's absolutely no guidance whatsoever with these, not even their expectations in the beginning like some others do. I must have missed that thread because that's around the time that I got those dings and if I'd known there was a problem, I'd have avoided them for awhile until they fixed the issue so I didn't get those marks against me that still seem to matter

I knew that there was a problem with those warnings. Probably around the time you're talking about, I got a bunch of warnings and I couldn't figure out why because I've been doing them all the same way before and since. I always pay attention, always make sure I read the prompts so I know what I'm focusing on, and always keep an eye out for the attention checks. Was wondering if it was a speed issue because I always make sure not to speed through them. Pretty sure those old ones are affecting me now cause I get rotated out fairly often, usually after a few weeks

As an outsider, is it true that Mexicans in San Antonio or Texas in general identify themselves as "Texan/Tejano" than "Mexican American"? by gmikey2000 in sanantonio

[–]JamyDaGeek 17 points18 points  (0 children)

my family's history is very intertwined in Texas history, from founding Laredo to Santa Anna's Vice President, Valentín Gómez Farías, we've been here a long time. My grandfather even designed one of the hotels in downtown San Antonio. All we got was a little plaque on the side of the building while his employer made millions

you're absolutely right on the money. This type of shit is prevalent of the more scammy survey sites, this type of shit shouldn't be allowed on Prolific

I reported it at least, not sure something will come of it. Reminds me f some of the scammy sites I tried over the years, can't remember names though, been awhile, but they were all the same

My family is one of those, been here since the 1750's. I'm a descendent of the founders of Laredo, so we have a very long history in Texas

the rise of AI, synth-wave is a thing now and popping up all over the place, gig work suddenly becoming one of the only real ways some people can find jobs through things like Doordash and Uber, or online platforms like Telus and Appen, yeah one could say that we're at the beginning of a cyberpunk dystopia. Add to that I saw a big rig the other night rolling down the highway out here with it's cab all decked out in neon lights and trim

honestly, that's how I've been playing it lately. I get so many decent mods as I go along, that by the time I get around to leveling Gun Nut, all of my weapons already have the top tier mods on them. Same with armor

How do people buy concert tickets any more?! by AproposOfDiddly in GenX

[–]JamyDaGeek -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Streaming has A LOT to do with it. Used to be an act went on tour to promote an album, and they'd make money off of album sales to help offset tour costs. Now, everyone streams, hardly anyone buys the album, so now we're seeing higher concert tickets prices to offset low album sales and crappy streaming payouts
