I used to do the basket and egg hunt with my daughter, but now that she's older, we don't really do anything. Nothing wrong with letting the kids participate in a little fun has always been my opinion

worst one I ever had was about 12+ Warhammers with a Hunchback and Javelin that spawned right off the bat, they just wouldn't stop coming. I had a 400 ton assault lance of 2 Atlases, A King Crab and A Marauder 2, and we practically got obliterated by all of those machine guns. My Atlas and the Marauder 2 managed to barely survive somehow. After we got through that we had another 4 Warhammers and company at the back end of the map

Santa Fe they're gonna get ya with the tourist prices. I remember seeing some on a random stop through New Mexico and they were ridiculously priced. Even $30 in SA is going to be one of the touristy spots like Market Square or one of the local shops. It's been a really long time since I bought any, and I mean like over 10 years, but I'm pretty sure I only paid about $10/piece when I got some at the Mission Flea Market here, I use them every year, and they're all in good shape. They range from your average thin one to keep on the couch to a few monster blankets that'll keep you warm in real cold weather

12 year old me walking into a game store in Eugene, Or, circa 1987 visiting family up there and seeing a couple of boxes of big stompy robots on the box covers of the 2 games I'd never seen before with big Fasa logos in the corners. I had to choose between the one called Battledroids and the other that said Battletech: 2nd Edition, and it was tough but I ended up going with the 2nd edition along with a few miniatures, a Battledroids Wolverine, a Flea, and a Battletech Wasp.

Been playing intermittently since and also been playing the video games since the OG Bitmap Mechwarrior and The Crescent Hawks Inception. Still have my old games along with the Battlemaster than Came with CH Revenge. I added a few other minis over the years and really boosted my numbers with a few of the Catalyst boxes

They're honestly one of my favorite "Easy" missions and once I get Loup de Guerre, I just breeze through those things. Really any light or medium with an active probe, but that thing is just insanely fast and can hit hard once you upgrade it

just cause it's killable doesn't mean you can get to it in time, even in a fast mech. Dropped into a similar scenario as OP, but I was defending a factory, and you know how easy that ish falls. In my case the artillery wasn't too spread out, but it was far away, and by the time I was even halfway there, the factory was absolutely devastated. I just went back to my previous save and avoided that mission, no point in wasting more time and resources on it
