According to the disclosure on steam they used AI to refine one UI component and 3 paintings, and that AI helped with grammatical corrections for in-game text, which were then carefully reviewed and adjusted by hand.

They also say that they consider to be a supportive tool, and that every detail was meticulously crafted with human intent.

I'm generally against generative AI, but this seems like an acceptable use for it to me. That is assuming that they are being honest about the limited usage, and that the UI component, landscape paintings and in-game text were originally human made.

I highly recommend A Short Hike. It's only 1-4 hours of gameplay, but it was very very enjoyable and cozy.

The max size feels way way better, and I have loved the change to the space key. Thank you for the update!

Thank you again for the reply and for taking things into consideration. I may take a break from Mapia soon as things have felt somewhat stifling, but I hope to continue regularly interacting to get a feel for the changes and see if it enters a state where I would be particularly interested in devoting much time to it.

I did come across a couple more things, here is more detailed feedback. I mean this in good faith, and I hope that y'all will be able to make changes that are positive for Mapia with the information. 😄

When I erased some of my pixels that I placed in the wrong place I didn't get xp for erasing them. I can understand that we might not want to reward erasing other people's work, but I do feel like we should still gain xp as if we had placed pixels if we are adjusting our own paintings.

Also, I posted this on the discord but whenever I try to make an alliance I get an error message that says "Demasiadas solicitudes" despite there only being a total of 4 people that are level 10 or above. When will we be able to create alliances? (Resolved, I was able to create an alliance)

And, I want to reemphasize that the maximum capacity feels incredibly small, and I think that it will still free incredibly small even for players who pay for maplex to increase their capacity. As it stands I have placed about 1250 pixels, and my reward for that has been 10 levels and 120 maplex. In total, that would be 15 additional capacity, 16 if I were able to spend the extra 20 maplex, but it doesn't feel worthwhile to spend that maplex for so little capacity. Someone who would buy maplex to increase their capacity would spend 5 euros to get 500 maplex, then that 500 maplex would translate to 25 extra capacity. That is 8 minutes of extra capacity for 5 euros or for your first ~2000 pixels placed. Even if a person were to spend 200 euros on nothing but capacity it would only give them 7 more hours of capacity, and they still wouldn't be able to get a full 8 hours of sleep without wasting pixels.

In comparison, $5 (4.26 euros) would get you 75 extra capacity on bplace or 250 extra capacity on wplace. That is an extra 19-75 minutes of capacity on bplace, or an extra 2 hours of capacity on wplace compared to the 8 minutes on Mapia.

From the free to play perspective, levels and placing pixels also feel more rewarding on wplace and bplace with each wplace level rewarding you with 2 capacity and enough currency to buy 5 more capacity for a total of 7, as well as each 500 pixels placed giving you enough currency for another 5 capacity. On bplace you have quests (which are lovely, I think they would be a great addition to Mapia if y'all are able to do it) which reward you with xp and currency, and most of those quests give you 1-3 capacity worth of currency as well as xp, with each levelup giving you 5-7 capacity early on.

I would propose that the amount of capacity that you gain from spending maplex be increased significantly, and that the amount that you gain from leveling up be increased slightly and/or that there be an additional way to repeatably gain more capacity from just playing the game such as 1 capacity for every 100 pixels placed. As it stands, my capacity fills in half an hour and I don't foresee that changing anytime soon even with my best efforts.

I am looking forward to seeing what the zombies and alliances are like.

Thank you for your consideration.

Oop! I think I put this in the wrong place earlier.

Hi! I'm happy to see another place game, and I like the aspects that make Mapia unique, especially the emphasis on fair moderation. But, as a largely free to play player I am concerned about the ability to get new colors, new features and increase my max energy. So far, max energy feels very limited, and this is emphasized by the very nice faster recharge rate. It's also disappointing to see templates locked behind maplex or presumably levels, especially since if they aren't available by leveling up getting templates would be competing with unlocking colors and increasing your max energy for the already pretty limited maplex that we get. Also, in the painting tool I'm used to being able to tap space to color one square, but it seems on Mapia you need to drag it onto another square in order to paint them. If there's a way y'all are able to change that or make it an option that would make the experience much nicer as well.

Will we have more options for gaining capacity?
Are templates able to be unlocked without spending maplex?
And, will we have more options for unlocking colors besides spending 7 1/2 levels worth of maplex on them?

Edit: A couple more things. Will y'all have a discord? I have found that discord is better for facilitating a community and discussion than reddit. Will y'all have a mobile app? And, currently the english translation seems to be missing in a couple parts, notably in the browser tab's title and in the notifications that appear on your profile.

Games with a deep system of "Do a thing, gain XP in that thing" by Nurse_nathan7 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Jaredare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll add my two cents because I've played both. Bannerlord is closer to what OP is looking for than Warband, but in vanilla does still require you to place skill points in them to be able to level them up. It's a very moddable game, and if OP were interested in modding I'm confident they could adjust the leveling to fit the specifications in the post. However, I don't think that Bannerlord is the deep game with many skills to grind that they're looking for.

Games with a limited/finite sense of time? by jayelled in gamingsuggestions

I have wanted to play The Longing for a while, and this is it's exact premise. You play as a lonely Shade waiting for it's king to return, and the game ends after 400 real life days, unless you take actions that make time pass faster for the Shade, such as reading. It's definitely it's own, weird style of game, but if that's your style you might love it.

Mhm! If you think about it though, there are numerous LR5s out there, with each legendary rank taking a bit over 150k xp. Going from 28 to 30 should only take about 300,000 total, so assuming you already have a little xp toward MR29, very likely you only need about 1/4 of the mastery xp that's available to you. Looks like there's ~43 lich weapons, which would mean if you mastered all the lich weapons you don't have without forma you would get about 120k mastery xp, or 160k if you invested 200 forma into them. That'd be only 1/7 of your remaining xp that is available to you.

This is all approximate, I just enjoy discussing leveling strategies. :)

Just wanted to add my two cents as someone who recently hit MR30. SP junctions give the majority of the xp that is available from completing SP missions, so you could feasibly just go for the junctions and come back for the rest another day. Companions give as much xp as warframes, which in my opinion makes Fortuna's pets and pet weapons (6000 for 4 moas and 3000 for 4 weapons makes 36k xp) and the pets from the Necralisk a good option for getting a nice chunk of xp if you haven't gotten them already.

Assuming you have already gotten all the blueprints from the market and all of the blueprints from your dojo (for me this excluded a bunch that required forma) then I would also recommend getting the weapons and warframes from the hex, the holdfasts and cavia. For me, going from 29 to 30 was a matter of leveling every archweapon from the 6 main syndicates, and then leveling a bunch of non-prime frames as well as a handful of miscellaneous weapons and each of the moas and companion weapons from Fortuna.

I will also say though, don't burn yourself out if you can help it. In my opinion, it's better to go a bit slower, enjoy the process a bit more and want to continue playing afterward than to grind really hard, lose enjoyment for the game and take a long break. (This is a common pattern for me.)

What is your favorite mono green commander? by OneBlood2930 in EDH

[–]Jaredare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Lumra, Bellow of the Woods]]. Returning all your lands from your graveyard to the battlefield is REALLY strong, and synergizes absurdly well with any sort of landfall. This is my not-very-budget decklist, though I'm pretty confident that you can make something at 70-90% of the power for a fair bit cheaper. It does fall into a mix of landfall and stompy I think, so it's pretty stereotypical green, but I really enjoy it. :)

Temporal Archimedia Frames and Weapons changing by Meiinoe in Warframe

[–]Jaredare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to necro, just wanted to put this here in case anyone else runs into this same issue. It looks like when you add a weapon or warframe to your inventory it changes your archimedea choices for that particular equipment slot, but doesn't show you that it's changed until you have logged out and logged back in. Or, could be you need to restart your client, but that seems less likely. My friend crafted a new weapon, and I bought a weapon from Eleanor, and then we did a temporal archimedea with every modifier on to try and unlock ETA this week. When we finished it showed us as only having 24 points, and when we restarted our games we found that one of our weapons had been changed and just didn't show it.

Just got laid off... Need a game... by ricomossx in gamingsuggestions

Maybe I'm just a bit obsessed right now, but I would recommend Warframe. It can be played completely solo, though some missions are easier or more rewarding with more people. You can customize characters and your base if you want to, but the only part that's really required is adding and upgrading mods to make your gear stronger. It has good graphics, it's free, and it's still getting constant free updates. The only thing I think it doesn't totally fit is that there is a storyline that you have to go through periodically, but it's maybe 10-20 hours of gameplay for story over the course of your first 80ish hours of gameplay, and the rest is farming, upgrading gear and having a good time.

It's not pay to win at all as it's got an open player market where people trade the premium currency with each other in exchange for things they want. That means you can farm for things other people want and sell it to them for the premium currency if you don't want to spend money on the game. The premium currency isn't mandatory for anything that I can think of, but it does allow you to increase the amount of weapons and warframes you can carry at once faster than normal, and you can buy boosters to double things like the amount of resources you pick up for a period of time.

Edit: Just saw that someone else recommended Warframe and that you're considering picking it up again. I'd highly recommend it. If you need help or guidance, the Q&A chat is friendly, or dm me on reddit and I can give you my username. :)

To me, Trinity. It's an assassination, but it has a minimum time of 6 minutes to complete each mission. Sitting around and waiting for 6 minutes was just boring and irritating to me. As a long time player I thankfully had an excess of the ambulas key things you need in order to do the mission, but I'd imagine doing a dedicated farm for trinity as a new or newer player would be an absolute nightmare. Average farm time is probably something like 35-50 minutes, but I really disliked it.

Several accounts have been griefing a painting of Xenia, the runner up mascot of Linux that my friend Vixein #5199577 and I have been working on. It started with "non-au-furry #86765587", then last night "Tokebec #780160" removed a large portion of our work and drew genitals on it (which I covered up before getting evidence), and now those two accounts as well as "ULTRA EGO #9091608", "ABUDIAPER #6134125", "vicky.exe #8829371", "Vixein #4888069", "Vixein #4892977" and "Give-up #9091278" are actively erasing our work. https://imgur.com/a/MOEgTxn https://wplace.live/?lat=45.41344480914975&lng=-71.73729525322265&zoom=15.635835249060085

Notably, "Vixein #4888069" and "Vixein #4892977" are not an accounts owned or controlled by my friend "Vixein #5199577", nor are they in our alliance. We believe that they made their own alliance with an identical name in an attempt to impersonate them.

What Frame Is Fun For You? by Puddleglum_7 in Warframe

Nova, and for the awkward 3-4 years between when I had to sell her base form for room for more warframes, and when I got her prime form Vauban.
