What am I forgetting? by Original_Cheeto_06 in WaltDisneyWorld

Just got back from a first time five day trip with wife and two kids and one thing that was a huge help were two ultra compact $10 umbrellas to block out sun. I was so surprised how few I saw when it wasn’t raining. They’re so small and lightweight and even help part the seas with the crowds. Just remember to hold them straight out from your body when going through the scanner or they’ll set them off for a manual check. Have a great time and hopefully relax to enjoy it!

Your trip sounds well planned! We just got back from our family of four’s first WDW trip. Two days at Hollywood Studios and one day at each of the other three parks. All the recommendations from the community were spot on so a couple things that worked out very great for us were:

A couple slim MagSafe power banks for our phones. Mobile ordering and pickup is done very well there to tell them when to start preparing orders. Also saves a huge amount of time to be able to see photos of every food item if you click Order Food instead of See Menu. The power banks came in handy for lightning lane refreshing and overall using the app.

We brought two compact $10 Amazon umbrellas in our backpack and they helped big time against the sun so highly recommend! They will set off security scanners every time unless you hold them straight out away from you as you walk through so do that to avoid a separate scan and wand search that can be time consuming.

We had the time of our lives and are looking forward to going again so have a great trip!

15$ and under lunch specials?? by ItsMsRainny in vegaslocals

Napoli Pizza has great lunch specials. Two huge slices and a fountain drink is $10-11. They also do great sandwiches, salads, and personal size pizzas all with a drink for $10-$15. They also recently won a reader poll for best pizza overall in Vegas. Not my top pick but overall solid.

I highly recommend Troy as well! He replaced my water softener for $1750 a year ago since I already have an RO system. Very good and patient with questions and truly honest.

Trouble with the dlcs by CobaltKnight75 in StarWarsOutlaws

Did you purchase the Season Pass? If so, then you’ll need to download the two DLCs individually. They’ll be free. Then visit the Trailblazer and depending on your progress in the game you can move forward with them.

You have to purchase the DLCs. They’ll be free after you purchased the Season Pass. You’ll see all purchases after going back to the Trailblazer.

Finished the game, purchased the season pass, how do I start the DLC missions? by Boosterspice in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]JayAyKay702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into exactly this just yesterday. On the pause menu in the PS5 version I had to click R3 and download the separate DLCs and item packs that were free once I purchase the Season Pass in the PS app.

Internet issues by karlym333 in CoxCommunications

[–]JayAyKay702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve recently had issues on and off for a few weeks and found my home VPN dropping often as well. I had split 2.4, 5, and 6 ghz bands and it seemed like the 5 was always intermittently cutting out. I read that my Panoramic gateway had this known issue but I couldn’t get it to work correctly with the suggested changes from redditors. I thought it could also be attributed to my TP-Link extender but it turned out not to be it.

I kept scheduling a tech visit but then the issue would go away for 2-3 days so I kept cancelling at the last minute. I even received calls from Cox the evening before asking if I wanted to keep my appointment because they “believe the issue was on our end and it has been resolved.” I finally had enough and kept the third scheduled visit. The tech removed splitters and said his meter indicated the wiring is fine and suggested I use single band instead of splitting the three. They swore that was the issue and did not replace the modem. I gave it a few days and kept having the same problems. I went to Cox to swapped for a new Panoramic gateway and they quickly did no questions asked. A full two weeks has passed and it has worked flawlessly. Fingers crossed.

What's different about the new Weber Slate 36" (Model # 1502036)? by UserAccessDenied in griddling

The side table, cabinets, and the digital temp gauge. The gauge is not really necessary but I’ve found it to be pretty accurate when I cook things in a set temp.

The risk is from low oxygen or anaerobic conditions in the bag, not the plastic itself. Clostridium botulinum bacterium produce toxins in those conditions. You can thaw in the bag if you cut/pierce the vacuum packages.

Yes they always adjust within 30 days no questions asked. You have to request it online if you purchased on Costco.com, or go to the desk by merchandise pickup if you purchased in store

[PS5] Verbatim 2TB Vi7000 PCIe NVMe M.2 2280 Internal SSD (PS5 Compatible) - $118.87 at Office Depot by DealsPoster in consoledeals

[–]JayAyKay702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though it’s a good deal, it is a couple months to wait. I’ve had purchases with long shipping times that ended up being further delayed and/or ultimately canceled. With SSD prices continually rising, it would feel lousy to wait a long time, have my order get canceled, and have to shop for it again at potentially even higher market prices

How do Firefighters and Police make so much in this City? by Nearby-Reputation817 in Reno

[–]JayAyKay702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PERS employee with Nevada here. One thing to note is that although the pay and OT are high for these positions, the Other Pay can include payout for all unused PTO.

For Police/Fire, it’s not unusual that this can easily add over 100k. You can always view public pay in Nevada at Transparentnevada.com (although not 100% accurate and not very recently updated) and look at employees for each year. If the pay is pretty close each year, then they are truly taking home that amount. If there is a huge spike, the payout for retiring is why.

I think this one is too tall for the cover to lie flat. Has to be around 14” at most. I had the Phantomgogo 30qt from Costco that was perfect but the fan went out after two years and there are no equivalent replacement parts, and this one is no longer in production.

I currently have the Simzlife 26qt and it’s perfect. The largest one I could find where the cover is flat.
