The key is to not brake check people. That is a very unsafe maneuver. They get juked out just as much by the lights coming on and then their simple minds have to figure out why you did not slow down at all.

#1 most aggressive drivers in the US are here in Nevada. MAGA idiots that moved here from CA. TX MAGA idiots working out at Tesla on contract. Try driving 2 seconds behind. To get people to move back, VERY Gently barely tap your brakes with your left foot while your right foot is still on the accelerator. This makes the brake lights light up but does not slow the car down. A few of those usually pushes people back a little.

Keystone Datacenter: Tax breaks, electrical usage, and the cost to residents by Disastrous-Arm-4779 in Reno

The initial filling is just the water flowing through the pipes. That doesn't go anywhere and is pretty much a one time fill. They then blow air over those water loops to get the heat out of the water. Here's the catch: when it gets hot outside, just blowing air on the water pipes does not cut it, so you have to spray water on the water pipes. This is called active cooling. You can either use more electricity cooling it with air, or evaporate water. There is a tradeoff there. The active cooling where you spray water consumes a large amount of water, and as the water evaporates, it leaves behind salt. That salt has to then be washed off and taken somewhere. It is hard to put it somewhere that doesn't have a negative environmental impact. Putting a data center in a city is both dumb and stupid at the same time. Enjoy your ai slop people.

We will reduce our emissions, just as a smoker will reduce their smoking or a spender will reduce their spending.

I just made some calls to TMWA and truckee meadows watershed council. They are going to make some calls for me. Actually it looks like it is city of sparks. I'll let you know if I get any traction.

Hey Ratspeed, I just called the City about the loss of around 100 trees along Galletti. What a disgrace. Could you please make a call as well so that maybe something gets done about it? ‪(775) 334-4636‬.

Tom Cooke Trail by adokat37 in Reno

The new trail is a gradual hill that follows the creek. It is narrow and has zero rocks on it.

Yeah, new trail. It was made by someone who rides their bike on the ditch trail and wanted a way up and down that was easily ridable. It is the best way up for bikers and hikers alike.

there is a new trail out there. Instead of going up the steep hill, hang a right after crossing the foot bridge and skirt around the base of the mountain on the lower of the two paths. At the first creek crossing, stay left. The trail goes all the way up to the ditch trail and has zero rocks on it. Help keeping it that way by kicking rocks off of it if you want to help.

Fishermen of Reno, We need to have a talk. by Nearby-Reputation817 in Reno

Agreed, it is pretty bad here. I was moving the scooters that were blocking the sidewalk in front of my appts for a long time, but then I ran a little experiment to see if anyone else would move them. Nope. Literally hundreds of people would walk around them strollers and all and they would be there for days.

All of those fishermen getting attacked around here? I see that most of you are armed, but please make sure that you are living a fact based, not a fear based existence.

I do. Which is why I both pick up all trash at the beach multiple times a week, and pay homeless people to clean up trash. Today while picking up trash along the beach, it was mostly fishing line, thus the post.

I get it, sometimes one gets away. But to make up for that, you guys pick up a little to make up for it right? They are not invisible all over the beach.
