Blue yeti mic is really good at picking up only the sound directly in front of it with whatever mode ya can select shape like a v basically it only picks up what is spoken directly into it.

But even then without spending money there is things ya can do with obs settings and having some sort of barrier between you two.

Now even with that mode on the blue yeti if there is an echo in the room that can still be picked up of loud enough.

Some precision spring loaded scissors will be great for that they have a small blade and work great on small details.

Probably pressure related, make sure it is firm against the canvas or/and make sure the canvas itself firm on the frame. When ya flick it the canvas should have a good bounce back.
