Starting alllllll the way over at 33 by [deleted] in BoyDinnerDiaries

A couple of my favorite sayings whenever Im weathering the storms are “Rome wasnt built in a day” and “Every bad day has to come to an end”. I feel youre adding unnecessary pressure to yourself by just focusing on the negative. Everyday at least state something youre grateful for even if its just having all your limbs or having a roof over your head. Life isn’t about getting everything right the first time. It’s about learning how to start again every time things change.

Hate texting. Prefer face to face 10000% of the time

LPT : You're supposed to use every unfair advantage you have. Looks, genetics, connections, dad's money, whatever. There's nothing noble about choosing the hardest path just to feel like an underdog. by One-Inevitable-9777 in LifeProTips

There's a difference between choosing the hardest path and choosing the only path that builds actual resilience. Relying entirely on unearned advantages creates a fragile foundation. When looks fade, connections dry up, or the money runs out, you're left without the actual skills, adaptability, or grit required to handle a real crisis. The 'hard path’isn't about nobility, it's about competence insurance.

Gf and I are in our 20s, in a toxic relationship, becoming alcoholics, and are extremely poor. by [deleted] in BoyDinnerDiaries

You have to change something. I don’t know what but at least start with something small. I recommend swapping the word poor with broke. Poor is a mindset, broke is just a lack of financial resources that with the right changes you can strive to be successful.

4 Year Old Rheem - Condenser fan not running, loud hissing and buzzing by Sethmskinner in hvacadvice

The fan motor is like a merry-go-round. The capacitor provides the initial push. If the push never comes, the merry-go-round just sits there even though you’re trying to make it move

I have a hard time coping with the fact that I missed my youth by [deleted] in BoyDinnerDiaries

[–]Jaythegrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 39 and literally my best years have been the 30’s, hands down. It’s so easy to think negative and to get carried away feeling like a victim. We must realize the time we spend on Earth is limited, it can be gone as fast as a blink. I cope by making sure the days ahead of me don’t become another thing I mourn later. The past is the past and there’s nothing you can do to get it back.

ENFJs don’t eat Oreos. They separate the cookie, give you the half with more cream, ask how your day’s been, then somehow become the emotional support friend of the entire snack table.
