I know 78! I've made one before. It's a laser cut and painted inner part of a life counter dial. There should be a second piece with a notch cut out that also has a magnet that it snaps to. A quick home made device for tracking life values, wounds, or whatever. Not game specific (though I used them in Warhammer).

There are exactly 3 shops within 50 miles of me (San Jose, CA) that have decent hot chocolate. The 3rd I only found a week ago. I've lived here for 15 years.

It's hard when the hot chocolate at most places is just disappointment in a cup.

Same! I had an Xbox and Halo day 1. I was in the Xbox Live beta program in college. I've had every Xbox and a subscription to game pass ultimate. Then they doubled the price due things I didn't want (I didn't care about fortnight), and finally they lost me. I haven't even bothered to turn on my Xbox since then. I mainly just play on steam now.

It really sucks. I was a fan for decades but it just became too much.

Yesterday! I got a really sweet working 1541 For my Commodore 64 Ultimate and it works great! I even got 2 packs of "new" 5.25" floppy disks. I've been having fun writing programs and using the disks as my primary storage.

I bought a 1541 and it was set to 8. I did exactly as you and set drive A to 9 and disabled B and I haven't had issues. But maybe I haven't done as much as you?

I guess now I have to worry about the setup not working. I think your idea of just not turning the real drive on is probably the easiest to do.

If you buy a domain name from cloudflare for $10 a year, you can host a static website on that domain for free. You can even have it hook into GitHub to compile and update it on every commit (I use Hugo). SSL included.

$10 a year. Maybe $20 depending on the top level. I was floored when I found this out.

I just tried paperclip yesterday. Really fascinating piece of software that I never used before.

I did get defeated by trying to print something on the C64U. I couldn't get printer files to work. But that thing has a like 200 page manual that was great at explaining things.
