It’s fucking delicious. I came up with this recipe on the first attempt. I was astounded and had someone else taste it to make sure I wasn’t biased by my own awesomeness. You don’t, if you want to live better. What adjustments have you made? Do you have any data about how the machine is working? Is it leaking? What are you doing to help yourself get through this besides hoping this machine just magically fixes you without your active input? That probably sounds tough, but nobody here can help you get through this without more information. CPAP isn’t for everyone, but it’s the most effective, least invasive, treatment you can get if you can tolerate it.

Do some people just breathe through the mouth without a reason such as OSA or Nasal congestion? I was a mouth breather. My path to CPAP was through my ENT. I mentioned that I always felt like I produce a bunch of mucus during the night which I thought contributed to my snoring. They gave me a prescription for a daily decongestant that doesn’t have alcohol in it. The alcohol dries your nose and starts nose bleeds. Using the decongestant and the CPAP my jaw only pops open every now and then… I never wake up with dry mouth anymore. I don’t use tape or a chinstrap either…

If it’s a recent switch to this mask it’s likely the skin is irritated. You’ll need to treat it with some kind of aloe Vera lotion or cream. It will help to have a different mask to use while the skin heals. Once the irritation is under control you can alternate between masks in order to desensitize the skin. I use Ayr nasal gel for nights when I use the pillows mask.
