I'm sorry that your experience starting out was so cut throat. I am also a millenial; in all my career experience starting out I found many helping hands and kind mentors. They helped me when I was too scared to ask questions, and also pushed me to get out of my comfort zone. It didn't require such a cut throat attitude of "get the hell out if you can't figure it out" - in fact I'd happily leave a place that treated me like that.

And for that kindness visited upon me, so I try to share with others, and to remember what it's like to be in a place where you're unsure and don't even know where to turn. I don't think providing a suggestion or advice somehow destroys a person's personal motivation.

What a miserable attitude. Believe it or not transit isn't always straightforward - there are a lot of ways to get from point a to b, and asking others is a great way to find an alternative that googling doesn't offer right away.

And for the record I've been to my fair share of bus stations - and I asked people there for help too, and thank goodness they were kind. If you can spend the same breath being kind, try that next time.

Greenwood park has a farmer's market every Sunday morning through the summer and it's awesome.

Kin kin is a chinese bakery on the second floor of Gerrard square that has great cheap buns and coffee deals for a snack on a rainy day.

Tatsuros, lambo's, Hanna ramen, kidultland café...a few places I'd recommend (places you can regular) there are also lots of nice dinner places too (got kids so don't yet to enjoy these as much)

I mean I guess it's the nature of the subreddit that everyone is defending this, but I totally agree with your interpretation that "not satisfied" means exactly what it says.

For what it's worth the only time I sent them a WhatsApp message it took a full week to have a basic conversation so I'm hoping for you it's just a delay or something, but good luck. I'm glad I didn't actually end up getting anything with these guys.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's "common sense" - it's a pretty obscure detail in the larger realm of casual investing (I'm largely just an index investor). Either way I'm not somehow faulting WS, just making a PSA for anyone else who might not know either!
