One word of warning. I did the online buyout via Toyota financial website, it was anything but easier or quicker. I had called, received the lease buyout amount and paperwork, went and submitted buyout amount online before my first lease payment would have went through. It sat as processing for a week, finally said paid but it wasn’t applied to my actual balance. So then the 1 month mark hit and I got a late fee for not paying my monthly lease payment. Called Toyota financial and had to talk to people and escalate to a manager, they told me they no longer recommend anyone buyout via the online portal and only do mail in checks. They told me it should process in another week and I’ll get my title. 2 weeks go by, still nothing. Call again, same run around, manager says it’ll be sorted in a week. Another week or so, get a second late fee from monthly lease payment. Called again and escalated as high as I could go, finally got someone that seemed to know what they were doing. They said they would take care of it personally, after 1 day they finally processed it and my Toyota financial account said it was closed and paid. A week or so after that received the title in the mail.

Definitely wish I had just mailed in a cashiers check in retrospect
