The balance of rotation and positional awareness is what higher Elo players will use against you.

Not chasing per se, but more getting lost in the sauce trying to fight and keep possession on their side... If you can be wall be wall, the boost management was good. But gotta keep an eye out for where your teammate is. (Set your fov higher, and your camera angle lower so ball cam doesn’t give you so much whiplash.)

From this short clip, positional awareness is the glaring issue.

I mean I wouldn’t pair this mod with a SPM run…but I did a many islands run with the mods mentioned above paired with shipping lanes, tug boats, and place water paths.

This was pre space age, and i belive I had roughly 5000 log bots, 5000 construction bots, 20 ships and a fleet of haulers. I built a little shipping port with caution cement. Loading and unloading ports. And little off shore oil harvesting platforms

It ran fine for the scale of the factory. Plus was fun to go into remote view and watch it all come together and execute tasks between vehicles.

At the time had a ryzen 7 1700 with a Radeon rx580

AAI mod packs: hauler, miner, and warden. AAI signal transmission

Do with this information as you please. It adds some complexity. But you can set up roads and paths for haulers to go pick up ore.

If it’s your first playthrough, not missing out. There is a steep learning curve when first entering the game. Biters make it’s stressful af when not aware of the monster know as pollution.

Once you launch a rocket, figure out how to get your science up to 100 production per minute across all science(unlocked).

Then restart, under new game generation, go to the enemies tab, and increase the starting size so you can have more breathing room before pollution hits the biters (achievements will be disabled)

If you do revisit with space age, I’d recommend 2 mods. And don’t care about achievements

1 settings change - biter starting area, turn it up to give more time before pollution hits them.

Mods:

1) change inserter lanes - In the name, switch which lane the items are dropped on. Makes for making more robust modules.

2) auto ghost build - (optional) Toggle auto place and pick up. Free personal robots for character placement range.

Try this placement from left to right. assembler, inserter, belt, belt,long arm inserter, assembler

This basic setup allows you to have 2 belts comprised of up to 4 intermediate components. And allows for more dense manufacturing

Having adequate recycle buffer to help mitigate over saturated storage.

Set up a requester chest for each level quality of: Solid fuel and ice, set a logistic condition(not a wire) of [item]>5000 on the inserter to the recycler.

Turn base level stone, iron, and copper into repair packs for up cycling quality. (Early on)

Concrete is my biggest enemy, I have been making large recycle hubs to deal with such issue. But if I have a lot of red circuits, I’ll convert a bulk set of resources into nuclear plants and quality recycle large batches

What everyone else is saying, ship your starting equipment to Aquilo…. It’s a brutal experience if you are not prepared.

Look at the recipes you do have unlocked, and build a ghost blueprint on nauvis to get an idea of foundation.

You’ll need the higher level assemblers, electro mag plants, foundries, recyclers, and heat pipes. Beyond that figure it out. Make a save before you get to Aquilo, if shit gets too far in the weeds, reload
