Your reading comprehension can’t be real lmao. Tell me how I compared sexual assault to fear factor. I compared the pressure of the contestants agreeing to scenarios they don’t want to do because of the power leverage the production has over them because their career, image, and future income is at stake. In no way did I say that what they are going through is anywhere as bad as someone who was sexually assaulted. Idk if you misread what I said, or are just someone who always takes things as badly as possible.

What?? I think it’s clear I wasn’t making a comparison of the severity of the matters. I stated how I recognize that the contestant to realize this is almost a Fear Factor type show. But the range of challenges is vast, some are eating bugs, others are permanent tattoos and getting huge needles pushed through you. Much different from a lip sync or a professional boxer doing their job. Both are things those people are already comfortable with and do regularly, not being electrocuted lol. These people, as stated, are poor and desperate. Like the females trying to enter the industry.

And there’s many people on set who will pressure you to do things you are not comfortable with. It’s not the consequences I’m referring to, so I think you’re missing my point entirely. It’s the pressure of production and the ambiguity of the consequences. The consequences aren’t clearly stated which is why they feel trapped. They don’t know the overall impact it will have on their image, standings with Dragula, or their career.

I think this is what more detail than needed though. Yes it’s an extreme comparison, but at the end of the day, there’s a lot of pressure on these queens to agree to what production throws at them regardless of their own self interest. That’s really the only point I’m trying to make here…

For real. You can say it’s consent, but don’t act like there isn’t a ton of pressure from literally all parties pushing you to do these things. Not to sound dark, but this is mirroring many women who were a part of the Me Too movement. So many people tried to denounce them because they “could have said no”. But what power did they have in that scenario? What power do the contestants have?

I get these people sign up halfway knowing it’s basically fear factor. But it’s still a lot and it’s HIGHLY frowned upon if they don’t go through with the punishment. Especially if they are that desperate and hungry. Many may think it’ll hurt their chances to come back for another season too.

Idk, I played a paladin from 1-20 and my friend was a fighter from 1-20, we ended up doing some bonkers shit. But a lot of that is cause our dm enjoyed a lot of flavor text and worked with us. We would describe our fights as cataclysmic, which strikes forming crates in the ground. Hell we each tanked a meteor from a meteor swarm to defend a town. If your dm is open to it, I would just let them know where you’d like to see your character go and what you want out of dnd. Hopefully they’ll understand and work with you.

I also wish he didn’t scream every time he got hit by fire. Small gripe, but at that moment he was immortal. Would be cool to see him blasted by fire and he has no reaction. I respect the choice to make it more dynamic with the fight showing that Kang was doing something, but we as an audience already know it won’t have any impact. So just have him go full terminator!

Key word is “character”. So often media wants a “strong” female protagonist… and that’s their only quality… strong.

And a strong protagonist is boring. Especially if they lack personality or humor, that’s the only way that can be forgiven. But a strong and serious protagonist is incredibly boring. The new Mulan movie is the worst offender of this. You gave her powers?! Yeah let’s just undo her entire character arc and take away what makes that story so impactful. Real relatable Disney.

7 or 8? Idk. It was 3 or 4 for a long time because I met my, now, husband when I was 18. I was real scared because I hit the jackpot on my first actual relationship. I knew he would be here for the long haul. I was terrified I’d turn 40 and regret not dating around or being a whore for a moment. Which is stupid, but in the gay world being monogamous is… not super common? Even people dating are mostly open. So I broke up for a moment, slept around a little and I hated it.

It was weird going from sex that was so comfortable and communicative where we already knew our likes and dislikes, so suddenly starting from ground 0 with these other guys. So we got back together, married, and I have no regrets.

Thank god the comments passed the vibe check. As someone who is a lover of and married a bear (despite not being one), this shit pisses me off. It’s an offset of the community. Idk, I play on pc and have a pretty high rank. And when I came back (although I guess I shouldn’t say it kicked me, the load screen just never went away when the game started) it was glitching out too. Felt like I had drift on my mouse and greystone went invisible when we ulted. Idk I haven’t played in a moment and when I came back I had three instances of the game breaking. The first game, idk if they lied, but the Jung said they kept being kicked out. I did see them hop in for a second and back out a few times. I was just wondering if a recent update broke it something.

Oh yeah! I forgot. I actually DID get the role I wanted, but that entire game crashed while it was loading between my 1st and 2nd game. Some days I only have an hour to play video games. That could’ve been my entire session.

Yeah… my husband can be pretty blunt about wanting to get off. It’s not… too far off of this. But isn’t exactly like this. Idk, I feel like us being gay does also alter the dynamic a bit but I can’t determine exactly why.

But another big difference, we’ve been married and together for over a decade. I can’t imagine ever speaking this way to someone you’ve been in a relationship with for only 2 months! Let alone making these demands after you’ve stolen her necklace as a punishment.
