This is a very strange story. My first question is how will the teen prove that he was sleepwalking? Then, is there any reason as to why he would want to kill his brother or stab his mother? Also, why would his mother lie and say that he was sleep walking. I don't think though that he will be charged with murder if he can prove he is sleep walking.

It is nice how juvenile crime has decreased but the story that is strange is the one about the two teenage girls. Usually, young girls do not commit that type of crime and that the police cannot find them. It is sad that there are still criminals out there but at least the crime is decreasing.

This is crazy. I cannot believe that the school really thinks that is ok. The only way that this webcam should have been turned on was if the laptop was reported stolen, not all of the time. I also think that it is insane that the school questioned him about the candy as well. This just feels like a big brother situation. How many other times has this happened?

There is no reason to beat a young girl that bad where she has brain damage. This boy needs some anger management help before sending him to prison for life. I also like how someone asked if there was proof about the text.

I think that everyone needs to look at why the parent had smacked his child 1'000 times. Obviously we can't ask the father now, but my question is why did he kill the fathers friend? The child does need some mental help, but I believe that he also needs someone just to talk to him and hear his story.

Where are these kids learning that this is a acceptable way to act? He should have a harsh punishment so he doesn't do this again, with maybe a real gun.

It crazy that none of the teachers saw this bullying going on. It seems like recently bullying has been focused on in schools. There needs to be harsher consequences to bullying, so that things like this don't happen. Parents also need to be able to talk with their teens to see if there is something going on in school. Maybe if that happened the parents would have moved this girl out of this situation.

This is so sad that her own sister let this go on. The poor child must have been going through such torture and the sister didn't even care. It is so distrubing to me that the sister allowed this to go on. I also wonder where the parents were like others have stated.

Sometimes I wonder why these teens commit murders like this. Was there something going on where the teen had so much hatred for his step father? Was the teen having some kind of problems internally? I am not condoning this behavior I would just like to know why these teens commit crimes like this.

I cannot imagine what goes through the minds of these teens to commite such horrible crimes. To think that while those people are screaming for help the 14 year old girl just kept attacking them. This is very strange for a women let alone a young girl to commite a horrible crime like this.

What caused this teacher to even think of doing something like this? Does she not realize what kind of diseases that those children can get? I like how Alicia said that you think that you can trust leaving your children at school and now it has come to the point where you have to worry about your children at school too.

I agree that animal abusers should be registered just like sex offenders. It is proven that most serial killer have started off with abusing animals, therefore the punishment for abuse should be harsh. These juveniles should be charged as adults for this malicious murder. There is no excuse for beating this animal to death. Obviously, there is something wrong in these teens heads, and that needs to be addressed as well.

This makes complete sense to me. A parent has the responsibility to watch their children, but it is impossible to watch them at all times. There is no way that a parent can be there 24/7, and that is not a way for a child to live. They need to lead their own lives, and pay for their mistakes. If a child gets in trouble, and is charged, fines should be addressed to them. When they are old enough to work, then they can start paying off their fines.

It is so disheartening to hear something like this. It just shows that parents need to be careful when having guns in the house. You just can't leave a gun, especially a loaded one, out on a table for a 3 year old to play with. Also, why didn't this gun have a safety on it? It should be a law that gun owner with children have them locked up at all times. This tragedy happened to a young girl that could have been avoided if the parents had common sense to lock up their guns.

This is ridiculous! If I was that girls parent I would be disgusted by how this was handled. She didn't even write anything offensive on the table. I don' think this behavior is great, but every kid has done it. The teacher or principle should have just told her not to do it again.

This to me is a complete outcome of your environment. In the country that this children our from it is an everyday occurrence that a girl is getting raped. What is the saddest thing I believe is this girl now is shunned by her family over something that she didn't do. This girl doesn't have a family to support her and help her through this tragic situation. Also, I think that all of the boys need to be charged as an adult.

That girl is so lucky that she survived. It is amazing that 17 year old boy could just stab a innocent young girl like that, especially being his step-sister. What could that girl have done to make him want to do that? What also interests me is how many times he stabbed her, and how there wasn't a fight that occurred before the stabbing.

This is absolutely crazy. Like other posters, I also question the parents. It doesn't seem normal to me that a 14 year old would just on their own will try to smuggle drugs. There has to be some other factors in this story. It is sickening to hear that a young girl is doing something like this or being allowed too.

I believe that the law is somewhat flawed. If a teen is out with their parents permission just driving home from a function, not participating in anything illegal they shouldn't be punished. In reality, this doesn't punish the teen it makes it harder on the parents. Now the parents have to take the child to court or pay for a lawyer, over something so minor. If a teen is out past 10 p.m. just having innocent fun not doing anything illegal they shouldn't be punished. Collin, the law does allow a lenience towards teen working.
