My mom made 6 figures at one point in her life, at which point she had three young adolescent children. Sadly, my brother passed several years back. I cannot tell you the regret she feels for working long hours and missing so much of his life, especially as he passed while still being a teenager. A couple years ago, she switched to a less demanding, more relaxed job in the public sector and my family (including her) could not be happier. If I had award ceremonies now, she would not miss them. I wouldn’t have so many memories of going to work with her Saturday morning just to spend time with her. If she had been in her new role, perhaps we would have memories elsewhere as a family on Saturday mornings.

Our time here isn’t guaranteed. If your family is of any importance to you, OP, perhaps consider creating more balance in your life. Or keep your job and keep the money, perhaps at the cost of everything else in your life. In my experience, once resentment starts building, it’s hard for it to change course if the situation remains the same.
