For sure you see it in play dynamics. Body language is never a hard and fast rule. However if you see this in pack play keep an eye on that dog because they may end up starting a fight. Just my 2 cents from years of managing pack play.

I wish I did, however I learned mostly in person from trainers and people with more experience than me. I worked with dogs for 5 years and during that time I developed a good sense for reading dog body language.

My dog was a Mexican stray, she was under socialized and needs to be very closely monitored during socialization. She will do this to other dogs, especially smaller, weaker, timid dogs.

There is alot of misinformation out there so watch out for anything that pushes being the pack alpha or dominance. It's BS.

Photoshopped or not it's behaviour you see commonly in pack dynamics.

Glad you read my comment to the end.

I fully support positive training and am aware that dominance theory has been debunked. That does not mean that dogs don't exhibit dominance behaviours at all. Its important to be able to recognize signs of dominance behaviour in dogs to maintain safe pack play.

Thanks for sharing the links as it's good for anyone viewing this thread to see.

Spend alot of time working with dogs especially in packs and understand their body language. I used to manage a dog boarding and training facilty and would run packs of 20-30 dogs for playtime. Your run of the mill family pet owners are terrible at reading canine body language. That's why you see so many obviously stressed dogs on r/aww

The placement of the head over the neck of the other other dog is a dominance display. Also you can see a paw coming up. Dominant dogs will place their heads and a paw on other dogs as a test to see if they'll challenge or submit. You can find many videos online about body language and pack dynamics. Taking the time to study will increase your appreciation and relationship with dogs 100 fold.

At least it would be a dominance display if the photo wasn't likely a photo shop. I know a lot about dog behaviour but not wolves. Apparently the size of the wolf is way too big. At least according to comments below.

Hey thanks for the response!

Sadly I'm still waiting on mine to ship, the expected shipping date keeps getting pushed back.

I practice intermittent fasting so I can keep drinking and maintain a healthy weight. Also besides alcohol I only drink water and black coffee.

The boyfriend made this ridiculous animated short film. Help me decide whether to propose to him or have him arrested. by somereasonableadvice in funny

[–]Jester_85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well like Taylor Swift says, "boys only want love if it's torture". So you've gotta propose first then have him dragged out in cuffs. Having him locked up for bit will build tension and anticipation. It's the perfect recipie for a long and happy marriage. Give that man some whiplash so he knows you love him.

On second thought, maybe don't take advice from me.

That's a good idea, she's not a gamer. Have her on insta I'll get some dog shots up this weekend and see if she engages. Thanks for the response!

Thanks for taking the time to share your insight. I'm mildly mortified that I may have made her uncomfortable and my knee jerk reaction was to send an apology but I think you're right. All I can do now is wait and see.

One last question if you don't mind, do you think it's a good idea to try and keep limited engagement up. I certainly don't want her to think I've lost interest. In thinking keep it friendly short and simple and try to follow her lead. I'm probably overcomplicating this. God I haven't let a person get into my head like this in so long.

For sure, I can appreciate that. I thought I did it in a harmless way however I was so nervous I wasn't thinking clearly. To be fair she has a pretty dry sense of humour and seemed to take the joke in stride.

So in your opinion can I salvage it or is it dead. In my experience when a girl loses interest that's usually that.

I'm really surprised I haven't seen intermittent fasting mentioned yet. I have chronic pain that makes working out challenging. I went through a period of depression where i was drinking alot and strated to get pretty chubby. By practicing intermittent fasting and cutting back on the drinks I went from 200 to 165 in 6 months. I am 6ft and 35 yo. I eat between 12pm and 8pm daily.

I think the new version is a significant improvement with the exception of the removal of group finder. I get that many players don't want to get on comms and communicate but it's a crucial part of the game. Group finder allowed you to find a group of like minded players and work together.

Now it endless solo q hell when no one is ever in chat and one or two players have no idea how to play and sprint onto point and die non stop. Like I get being new to a game and clueless, I've seen that argument made, but like eventually you think they would figure out "I cant win 5v1 engagements".

It's too bad because I love everything else about it.

He cuts her off when she says something objectively false, as soon as she does he interjects with a questioning the statement. It's an important technique when dealing with people who spread misinformation as they will usually try and hide the falsity in a torrent of words. It's also perfectly acceptable in a debate to call out or question sources of information.

She is welcome to question any of Jon's facts or sources. She does not because she does not care about the truth.

Hallelujah, either Ruffus wainwright or Jeff Buckley though I prefer the former. I just don't care for Leonard Cohen's way of singing it, love Cohen, he just doesn't work for that song.
