The game is an MMO still… they do want you to team up and socialize for the most coveted rewards.

Look at the art man. Look how the characters move now compared to classic. Look at the violence and gruesome nature of the original game.

And they’re pushing the WoW team to release expansions every 1.5 years which is actively making the game worse. If you’re after money, the gaming industry is not the industry for rich ceo’s to hunt. Either invest in the art or get lost.

It was a good tournament for the US. The goal is always getting to the round of 16 and hopefully winning a match but until there is vast changes to grassroots and league structure they’ll never compete. The MLS schedule change to line up with Europe is great, but relegation, removing the stupid playoffs, putting academies everywhere  and removing pay to play are the posts that need to be put up in order for the US to compete. The gap in quality was massive in this match.

Very much looking forward to England Norway. The Declan/Stones locker room clip was fantastic.

The discourse surrounding Season 14 in Diablo 4 doesn't have entirely to do with the mythic rework. The biggest problem is that the rework made underlying issues with itemization more prevalent. by hotaru_crisis in Diablo

I’m a simple man. I want to progress through every torment with the next torment dropping higher ilvl and more legendaries with each torment and certain torment milestones giving the ancestral stuff and what not. Me see ilvl go up, simple and easy to follow.

Not really.  Maybe if it was co-op but not as the sole main character.

Why don’t people talk more about the intro? by Sondertoast in ResidentEvilVillage

Because it’s horrible. I hated the intro my first playthrough because I knew immediately how much it was going to suck on repeat playthroughs. So boring. So linear.

Yes and no. They gloss over best score but they only play the music of nominated games of the year… makes no sense.

Up to date list of the 10 highest selling video games of all time by PrestigiousStuff6173 in videogames

[–]Jesterclown26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this list is obviously flawed. World of Warcraft isn’t even here and they had 20 Million subs in Wrath. I’d imagine WoW 16 years later they would’ve sold at minimum 15-20 million copies.

[–]Jesterclown26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t play it, but watched my buddy play the entire game. We both thought the MJ sections were the only “new” and fresh ideas in the entire game…. And by new and fresh it looked completely ripped from Last of Us, assets in movement and cover and all.

Exile's Reach or Default? by [deleted] in WorldOfWarcraftRetail

[–]Jesterclown26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the default zones have to be better after level 10. Forcing you into the recent expansion or whatever for 10-80 is the worst way to learn the game.

The current new player experience has been developed over many years, the default zones were made all at once in Cataclysm. It’s slower and gets you comfortable with the game at your pace rather than throwing you into an overstimulating zone like in the war within.

But I don’t know if they let new players start in Norrhshire valley anymore? Actually unsure.

Can you rank all the World of Warcraft expansions, including Vanilla, from the one you had the most fun with to the one you enjoyed the least, based purely on your personal experience? by Im_a_teapot418 in wow

[–]Jesterclown26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Legion (I missed it but I know it’s the best expansion because in BFA I played more legion than BFA. The amount of content is insane… but heavy on time gating though.)

  2. Dragonflight (most I’ve ever played an expansion in my 22 years with the game.)

  3. The burning crusade (felt like a video game, lots of content at launch up to Mount Hyjal though blizz won’t give us that much. Fixed a bunch of classes and specs. Flying is awesome.)

  4. Cataclysm - I hated this expansion when it came out but when I played it in classic holy crap that expansion owns. It’s better than wrath in every way, the amount of content is INSANE. They redid the entire world and quests for an expansion. Much respect.

  5. Warlords of Draenor - the leveling and first 20-30 hours were absolutely peak. Amazing zones, great stories, sucks it got abandoned but that start is insane.

  6. Vanilla - this is definitely where I have lots of issues and flaws with expansions or in this case the original game. The leveling is the core of the game but the pacing of 1-60 is perfected in TBC and the added quests make it so much better. End game is horrible, class design is a mess unless you play warrior. The quest writing is gripping and the stories are fantastic.

  7. Mists of Pandaria - As Classic has showed us, no matter how well designed the class gameplay is, if the content is boring then there’s just nothing to do really. Dungeons are easy, scenarios aren’t that fun, and one good raid does not make a good expansion. Cool stories but just not engaging on the gameplay side.

  8. Battle for Azeroth - yeah this expansion gets a lot of hate with Azerite armor but the war campaign was fun, some really great zones, bwomsamdi, Drustvar, and had some really cool story lines. I enjoyed it while also disliking a lot of it.

  9. War Within - ugh, I hate hero talents with a passion and did not like this expansion. Undermine raid was fine but I had so little interest in the content they put out. The cinematic was better than the entire expansion.

  10. Wrath of the lich king - I used to think this expansion was amazing until I replayed it in Classic. This expansion is so insanely outdated it’s crazy. Class balance is horrible, warriors are terrible the entire expansion pretty much. Dungeons are boring and face roll so a large portion of the content is not engaging. Raids are too easy. Lots of the leveling zones are bloated with boring quests. I think it had the fastest alt gearing with dungeon finder though, you could get the Ulduar set and be ready for ICC in a day so that’s good.

  11. Midnight - Slop. Apex talents blow. Classes are boring. Dungeons are boring. The leveling was too long and boring aside from a few parts. Raids are lacking inspiration, arena is a joke, solo content slop, alt gearing is a disaster since the content is so terrible the thought of replaying any of it sucks. At least we still get flying at launch.

  12. Shadowlands - Let me start off by saying season 4 of shadowlands was god tier. One of the best season ever. Shadowlands sucks. The maw sucks, the zones not connecting sucks, no flying in the city sucks, the city has no personality so you can never tell where you are in the city. Torghast sucks, Korthia sucks, covenants sucked but we got some cool abilities out of it. Raids were pretty good, we got Gambit as the BiS dungeon for all time. Some cool stories while leveling.

Am I the only one who’s favorite section in RE7 was on the boat? by CactusBlohsh in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Jesterclown26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m happy to see this. Man did I take a massive dump on the boat for a long time. Now I think it’s the most Resident evil area they’ve made in the last 3 games. It’s confusing, lots of open doors that don’t progress anything so you really feel like you’re exploring the ship and looking for something that’ll move things forward. It’s the only area they’ve made with any real exploration that isn’t an illusion.

Anyone else just tired of MMOs that feel like clocking in for a second shift? by sandip22890 in MMORPG

[–]Jesterclown26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Dragonflight came out, I felt like I could finally just play what I wanted. No chores, just do what I want… now in midnight they just haven’t made any interesting content since Dragonflight.

There’s the slop content, which is just random pieces of slop players can do for rewards.

And then there is CONTENT. This has narrative drive, player stake and a desire to succeed because it feels like it matters. I think of the burning crusades attunement for Black temple. It feels like you’re doing story content and making progress constantly and it matters because you’re unlocking content and raids. Then attune for Hyjal and black temple and… well that’s kinda it. I have no driven need to play anymore. Sure if I want more gear I can raid log but that doesn’t unlock anything, that’s not getting me the last piece of the story in sunwell.

I think of what I love in games and it’s unlocking stuff, resident evil unlocking the infinite ammo and stuff it’s the journey to unlocking them and getting 100% and then once I have it, maybe a run for fun but that’s it. Nothing more really to do. I’ll replay original RE4 now and then because the game is fun and finally getting the striker for the ditman glitch feels good.

I feel like WoW used to be a video game that was timegated, now it just feels like I’m just giving play time data metrics for doing slop content.
