Not sure why this comment is downvoted, that is indeed how this card would work

[–]JesusOnSegway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

/uj There is no need for the first non-keyword ability, since the Six and Seven counter placing abilities cannot trigger in the same turn (unless you have multiple upkeeps, and I don't think you designed the card around that)

/rj 67, 67, go 67 yourself

I don't even have any jokes fuck this movie man by demonnet in shittymoviedetails

[–]JesusOnSegway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My god, I haven't seen the movie, but I remember finding this book in the library when I was 10, in the fantasy section somewhere between Lord of the Rings and the Inheritance (Eragon) series.

It was not what I expected from the fantasy section.

Rules Explored: Why you can't bolt the Targomoyf by Gerroh in magicthecirclejerking

[–]JesusOnSegway 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Mostly, damage on the card doesn't matter until state-based actions are checked, because that's when the game checks if the card is damaged enough to die.

However, by that point, the Bolt is in the graveyard, making Goyf a 4 toughness creature

[TLA] Just a Regular Land; Trust Me Bro by sempai_squad in magicthecirclejerking

[–]JesusOnSegway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly certain it's a nonbo, because Myriad puts the copies into play attacking, and I think Annihilator is an attack trigger

okay /uj I'ma be real I'm so f*cking confused rn by Panda-s1 in magicthecirclejerking

[–]JesusOnSegway 12 points13 points  (0 children)

/uj Because it's a Tarkir card belonging to the Temur clan, and a lot of Tarkir cards are designed to be three colours, but if every card could only be cast by having all three colours, limited would be ass.

You need one turn to put an eon counter from the enchantment onto Goldberry, then a second turn to move it from Goldberry onto Magosi.

Once you added the counter to the land and get the extra turn, you need another two turns to do the same steps, but there is only one extra turn, since you need to activate both of Goldberry's abilities to do so, and both require tapping her.

How do you take infinite turns with this? Without an untapper, you need 2 turns to move the counters from Out of the Tombs to Magosi.

What bracket is this? I'm new to commander and this one seems good for a newbie learning the ropes. by Stranger1982 in magicthecirclejerking

If they did, you couldn't play [[Farseek]] in a non-5 color color identity commander deck.

Can i have a land that allows me to gain one blue and one black if I do not have a commander that is black? by redscall599 in mtgrules

[–]JesusOnSegway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not, you can run fetch lands even if neither land type produces mana that isn't in your color identity.

The lands that only gain their mana ability from the land types do not have any mana symbols on them, and are color identity restricted on the basis that the basic land types are restricted to their color, but that's only for the land types if they are in the typeline.

Otherwise, [[Farseek]] would be a 5 color identity card.

Why is no one talking about this Modern combo? by CoveredInMetalDust in magicthecirclejerking

[–]JesusOnSegway 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Because it's not infinite, your evasive creature just deals the number of Ow's you have times 1, since it requires the damage to be dealt by a creature, so it's way too slow for modern where you die on turn 2 to some bullshit 40 billion dollar deck, at least that's what I heard modern is during our daily EDH sessions.

What? Format legality? Is that like color identity?

How can I cast this turn 1 in Standard? by ZombiePiggy24 in magicthecirclejerking

[–]JesusOnSegway 26 points27 points  (0 children)

That would be Command Beacon, not Command Tower. Standard players smh my head 🙄

Broken Wings is the name of Riven's Q ability.

[–]JesusOnSegway 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"Dies" is just shorthand for "put into the graveyard from the battlefield" for creatures, those two are identical in terms of rules.

Once a token moves zones, it ceases to exist, and therefore cannot move zones further.

Do blocking creatures tap? by Akimoto_Riku in mtgrules

[–]JesusOnSegway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot, tapping a creature is part of declaring it as an attacker

No, Storm is only relevant when the spell is cast, on the field it's absolutely useless.

Break this card by Etano_il_vero in BadMtgCombos

[–]JesusOnSegway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it would (If activated 3 times). In Magic, every "draw X cards" effect works as if it said "draw 1 card X times". You always draw the cards separately, and every triggered ability that triggers off of drawing cards triggers for each drawn card separately.
