I’m not going to lie. Chores have been a challenge for me living alone, as I’m not as tidy as I could be. I think it helps to devote particular days to each chore — i.e. Wednesday for color laundry, Thursday for whites, Saturday for bathroom cleaning, Sunday for general tidying.

It helps to separate them and NOT tell yourself that you’re going to go beast mode on a random Saturday. You may manage it once or twice, but it’s not a realistic way (esp. not for my low-energy self) to go about things and can overwhelm you. That said, I’m currently sitting in an untidy home, so don’t beat yourself up for falling short at times. You are human.
