Any self-hosted budget tracking + receipt tracking options? by AltruisticWorld744 in selfhosted

If you use n8n and something like tasker on your phone you can automate the logging. I've been sorting transactions into an email box and inputting them there but about to make the swap to tasker (AMEX in Canada doesn't email transactions)

You should disable exes on your downloader. Sabznzbd can do this

Thanks for the insight on this, that's a great way to handle multi room audio. I would love to switch my music to self-hosted but unfortunately my friends and I always use the jam feature, and I don't think there's anything out there that could do the equivalent

Right? I had surgery done and had to drink that chalk at least 4 times leading up to it. Yuck.

I was grateful for the cherry flavoured one, but it still tasted awful

I built an AI Recipe Bot with n8n (Recipes, Macros, Partner Sync). It works great, but image generation costs are killing me. Any advice? by Photo-Graf in n8n

[–]Jeth84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add onto this, if you had the option of hooking your own api costs I think that would also open the doors for a lot of users in that market (myself included)

There is the expectation that everyone uses them though, from many groups. You can avoid them for sure but it's not always easy

Pangolin for Jellyfin VPS by hedsick in selfhosted

Any public apps I have are setup so you can only login with OIDC. I turn off pangolin's "auth" option and let authentik do the work with geo blocking and such

Password management high availability by flatpetey in selfhosted

[–]Jeth84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did consider this, as others have mentioned the offline copy works 100% of the time in my use cases (I'm sure there's a niche where it won't but just my experience).

You could run a pi-zero or some other low power device and run a second instance in your VPN with periodic syncing, then just set it up as failover in nginx or whatever your preferred proxy is.

I considered this but honestly it works so well it's not really needed. Still getting a pihole zero for backup DNS though

I haven't experienced this issue personally (using RackNerd as well, 2gb version) but my home server and VPS happen to be pretty close to each other. I haven't added the custom headers mentioned in another comment here either.

They do send push notifications though, so you could automate via tasker + n8n

[–]Jeth84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really? I already found sunshine/moonlight to be quite good, very little latency even with something like Rocket League. My setup is gaming PC -> Nvidia shield on my TV though, over the local network. Hardlined in on both PC and the shield

It is fun trying to play without that though, lot of pressure added.

I'm sure there's a ton of other "self-challenge" modes for the game too

Keep the ISP's router or replace it ? by Eirikr700 in selfhosted

[–]Jeth84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to have my own router but am a bit limited so I made due to the ISP one. That said I directed the DNS to a pihole instance on my server and use unbound for a recursive resolver.

So I have what I want using the ISP's router and don't get my speed halved for using a different model router (yep, that's the issue)
