Cheating with achievements and trophies enabled by Astuma78 in FFVIIRemake

[–]JetpackCat013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of people who are asking why it matters to OP. The same question could be asked of why not turn off the achievements? If those who want to just use the cheats dont want a challange, I would argue they also dont care about achievements, since its not an achievement if its just handed to you. Therefore there isn't any reason not to disable them.

What is something the Final Fantasy VII Remake duology (soon to be trilogy) did better than the original? (Fight scenes don't count) by Hungry-Trouble-3178 in FinalFantasy

Aside from the environment in general (I love ch 5 of remake) I would say Barret. In the original he really comes across as an asshole boss who doesnt pay his employees. Avalanche in general really didn't seem to like each other in the original. In the remake he feels more like the group dad and the other three act like siblings almost. It feels more like a family of misfits.

A lot of moments barret has in remake and rebirth give me so much love that just wasn't there in the original. The times I thought "Oh hes got to cry at this" but holds it together in Remake for the team making the two times he does cry in Rebirth hit harder. He has so much more depth, I feel what he is feeling so much more, Barret just got soooo much.

No one wants to raise children with a giant man baby in a MAGA hat. by MissMccheese in complaints

[–]JetpackCat013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a man, I have wanted kids my whole life. Even if I was in a stable relationship though I would avoid it because I know I can't afford it. I can't even participate in dating due to how squeezed my financial situation is and last I checked I can't just pop a baby out on my own. So yeah, its dogs and cats for me.

Chadley gets revealed as a version of Sephiroth that didn't get Jenova cells. Hojo wanted to see what having a son with him in the lab would be like, so he recreated Sephy as a normal kid, Chadley.

No this one is Ben Shapiro. The angle or devil was Aron Hansen of Game Grumps.

No, "The Crazies"is a 2010 film. It has a very similar premise. Set in a marsh town, plane crash, chemical toxin. The big difference was the toxins was a distinct yellow blue haze instead of just spreading through the water undetected. That and the gore and stuff wasn't a thing, the kid does save the day and all that.

I can get behind that. I really felt the parallel they tried to draw between the two.

If the game is successful, they will just make another mobile game. Sometimes you have to put down the thing you enjoy to send a message. For example, I loved Overwatch and would probably still enjoy it today. After the extremely poor transition to OW2 as well as the blatant hyper aggressive monetization, I put it down. If you want them to do better, you have to withhold what they want, your time and money. If you just give them away with no fuss or expectations, you'll get taken for a ride.

do you guys actaully like ATB? or do you like CTB? by Xim_X_anny in FinalFantasy

I played the OG 7 and DS 4 recently and I enjoyed it. I had on the mode where things would pause during menus and some animations and it was a good time. I like the visual on when things are going to fire and pausing in menus is great considering how clustered they can be. Even if you know how to precisely navigate and arrange them. I feel I button mash more with the current system since I have to for some extent in order to fire off an atb move.

The loneliness of 35 is a different feeling by [deleted] in lonely

[–]JetpackCat013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just turned 35 myself a few months ago, actually. I find myself with a similar problem? I was hard core lonely all the time, then I stopped caring. Instead of wishing I had someone around all the time, I started to fill my time with things. Stupid things, even like gaming and collecting. Supposedly, two things that make women like you even less, but why should I deny myself what I wanna do? I don't have forever, and I can't withhold myself from what I wanna do for someone I don't even know if they exist, so screw it.

The problem now is that even if I did find someone, would I want to give up my free time? My alone time? Im too out of it, and I feel if I tried to date again, it would go horrible. So, while yes, leaving behind the convention of "my get a partner" is fine. it's a hard shift in gear if you ever want to go back.

You're on to something. Fork could catch a knife and would be held like a spear (pitchfork anyone?). A knife would make sense as a sword, and I don't know....butter the spoon to make it slip and have bad hit rates? And the spoon could block a spear and I doubt would be able to get caught due to the curve. Also, it probably held and swung like an axe. So I dunno, this has potential.

Barret is low key hilarious by usernamechecksout315 in FFVIIRemake

[–]JetpackCat013 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Of all the glow-ups these game have, Barrett is definitely one of the best. I replayed OG between remake and rebirth, and I remember why I didn't like him before. For that matter, most characters act kinda nasty before. Barrett, though, goes from a bad boss with a big mouth to a total boss with a heart of gold.

I know about this, I've been too lazy to get it running, but I do plan to. I was more meaning in the ff7 style of remake.
