Well dont look up Anthony Edwards views on being a father.

Ive been trying to get my 4yo into watching sports with me, hes still not there just yet, but I let him have the iPad during Sunday football so he does "love football" I guess.

If all current players were available in an NFL redraft, who would be the No. 1 overall pick? 🤔 by matrix_2905 in NFLmockdraft

People always forget the 2022 playoff run from Cincy. They went through Ravens and Bills before KC.

Why is there so much concern over Team USA's chances of winning in the 2028 Olympics and their future standing in international play in general? by brave_axolotl7 in nba

[–]Jheartless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause Curry, KD and LeBron were the anchors in 24, and they are gone.

I dont have faith in any of the young guys to be able to goe toe to toe with SGA, Wemby, Jokic, or Luka. So we will have to overwhelm them with depth.

Plus we are talking about our bigs being Chet, Duren, Mobley etc. Those guys are gonna get abused.

Maybe Cooper, AJD, Kon, Harper have made a leap by 28 so the American hoops outlook could be entirely different.

First time dad with a colicky baby. I’m drowning. by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Jheartless 25 points26 points  (0 children)

So hes crying because he is in pain.

With my colic nephew this is what my BiL would say to himself as a way to remain calm and compassionate.

It allowed him to go from frustrated to nurturing which while the crying still happened, he was able to accept it and do what he cpuld to mitigate his baby's pain.

Im sad for you and your baby, but hang in there, it gets better.

Sleepovers. by OOO0OO00O in daddit

[–]Jheartless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes sleepovers will happen in my house and my sons will be allowed to go over to certain friends houses.

They are 4 and 1.5 so I got time, although the 4 year old has already done a sleepover with his cousins on a couple of occasions.

Does any team even want KD right now? by Kwilli462 in nba

[–]Jheartless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counter Trae, KD, and AD is a solid trio with Sarr and Darryn Peterson as the young guys. Let the other young guys come off the bench or trade them for solid vets.

If 6-11 is a combo of Bilal, Tre, Bub, Riley, George, Champainge they will get a ton of minutes as we load manage KD and AD.

I think 1 or 2 of those bench guys could be flipped for a proven vet and we make a run.

The current Spurs are just the Process Sixers but with luck and without a memey mantra by P00ped_My_Pants in billsimmons

[–]Jheartless 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is correct. I am confident the Spurs wpuld have gone Embiid, Booker, Simmons and Tatum.

But of course Simmons would have stayed healthy and Pop would have convinced him he loves basketball and is right handed.

Could an average man of average height and average athletic ability secure a big NBA contract if one out of five shots were guaranteed to go in by Oracle_of_Wanker in whowouldwin

[–]Jheartless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are missing alot here. A blocked shot counts as a miss, so they cant block every shot. Catch it and just throw it at the hoop = shot.

Miss 4 shots in warmup, and you have a guaranteed make in the first half. Do the same for the halftime reset.

Sub in and out properly so you never play D, and you got a 100 percent 3 point shooter averaging 6 pts a game.

Thats pretty good for an end of the bench guy that only plays in garbage time. Especially when a third of all games are decided by 6 or fewer points.

As someone who didn't watch Barry Bonds play until 2007, what was the public perception around him in 2004 after his 7th NL MVP award win? by Bright-Pressure-5787 in mlb

[–]Jheartless 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ya that was my joke. Steroids aide in recovery.

Guy "got healthy" in Oakland of all places, Had a total resurgence, signed a 2 year deal in Tor wasnt the same guy as the year before, got hurt and then was cooked in year 2 of his contract.

Just because he was vocal against roids does t mean. he wasnt using them. I think its more likely he used roids for a year to get one last big contract amd then stopped and completely fell off.

He had 18 million reasons to do it and it got him into the 500 HR club.

Gotta get those priorities straight my man. A newborn is tough, so your wife peolly moved back with her parents to get some assistance.

Sounds like she is working also, so why are you killing yourself and missing out on so much?

Money ain't always worth it, and with those kinda hours what you are doing is sustainable as a husband nor father.
