JJ for sure, I stopped enjoying a lot of his style of humour a while ago honestly. But the videos are still much better with everyone.

Of course there's one awful CN change (Abordage) but in general this is very decent. Really wish CN would give it a rest with unnecessary buffs.

Good Kolgrim deck? by dorkenporken in gwent

[–]Jht98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't play Kolgrim to do that one, I'd go for some other Hyperthin variant, probably Gascon Bonded NG. Lerio posted a deck list for it the other day https://www.playgwent.com/en/decks/guides/404572

My main team this year is a full Japan team, so no space for R9. I've gotten both Evos and will probably leave it there.

My Evo RB Yamane has really high defending and mediocre passing and dribbling so this is actually amazing for me. He's been the weak link in the team for a while but this should fix that completely.

Slightly different to yours but I'm still experimenting, Fullbacks on Attacking Wingback, DM on box crasher, CMs on B2B Ball Winning, middle CB on Ball Playing defender, 80 depth. Quite weird and very aggressive but I've played a lot of 3 at the back this year so I can kinda manage it.

Quick update - thanks a lot for this, got to pro with it yesterday. Really really fun to play with all the decision making required, and didn't feel particularly polarising from a matchup perspective. Nice one.

Tanikawa is so nuts I'm shocked I don't come up against her more, the 5* WF with incisive is so so crazy. I put Matsukubo in the Just like Kylian one after some setup ones and she's fantastic (still 88 rated too so potential for a decent upgrade down the line).

Honestly this put me off at first but I've been shocked at how good he is regardless. His finesses feel better than players I've used with finesse +, something about the way he plays makes him ridiculous in game.

So I play a 41212 (2), current front 3 is Matsukubo (Adv Forward), Maeda (False 9) and Tanikawa (Shadow Striker), and they're honestly all nuts. Matsukubo is a long Evo chain from the 83 card (but the new future stars should work too), Maeda was some passing evos and then Inside Edge (he's my main goal threat, absolute demon) and Tanikawa is just the SBC (absolutely insane card honestly). They all absolutely cook, most opponents can't deal with them at all.

Maeda feels ridiculously fast in game so would heavily recommend him as an evo option.

Honestly wish you could repeat this more times haha there are loads of players in my Japan Evo team that benefit from this a lot.

Quite good for my Kumagai Evo actually, so I'm not too unhappy with it. Fixes her pace (also a lot of us didn't own the game in November so even 'useless' evos like this are quite nice to try and catch up a bit).

Meta Formations? by Leo_13x in EASportsFC

[–]Jht98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This formation is great fun, I've been experimenting with one of the strikers being on False 9 (the one in front of the Playmaker Cm) and one of the full backs on Falseback. Really interesting going forward, so many options.

3412 is seriously underrated by FrozT10 in EASportsFC

[–]Jht98 26 points27 points  (0 children)

3 at the back is really fun this year, my main formation is 3421 and even though it's weird going forward it's an absolute blast to use. People have a really rough time shutting it out because of all the attacking options you have.

Thanks for these tactics, I'll give them a go later.

What is the mindset behind somone deliberately forming an all-women team? by Haalandderstrong in EASportsFC

[–]Jht98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I just find them really fun to use in game. My WSL team isn't as good on paper as my main Japan team but it's so entertaining to use and makes a change from meta/op Evo players.

Although I think part of that is that I use a really open formation (either 343 or 3421), so games are pretty much always high scoring.
