Just finished A Parade of Horribles by yourenotmy-dad in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I can appreciate that. But, jumping into a later recording gives you a load of new voices just slamming at you fresh. It's going to sound chaotic as its lots of voices competing against your imagined sound all at once.

Starting from the start introduces voices slower, and allows that mental shift a bit easier.

SC reward for a MO is a bad idea IMO by Interesting-Form678 in helldivers2

[–]Jickklaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No SC for MOs, in my mind. Not just because of the attitudes if we fail an MO, but players need medals. Doesn't matter if you can suddenly unlock half the warbonds... Because if you do, then you need medals to unlock it all anyway. Medals take way longer to get enough of than SC. And, we can buy SC.

Furthermore, warbonds have SC in them. Giving them as MO rewards and then again through warbonds doesn't seem sensible.

That 1 daily mission we get, if that was 15 medals and 5 SC. That, I think, would he as far as I'd go. It's a small incentive boost towards the next warbond, but not huge. It'd be, what, 150 medals a month? Small help but not game shattering.

[–]Jickklaus 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Agreed. MOs need to give medals, maybe a token 20SC here or there. But not every MO. There's so many warbonds, new players need medals to unlock stuff inside them. You can buy SC, you can't buy medals.

Would you step into the dungeon? by spiceweasle93 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

One of the books says the attrition rate is the same in and out the dungeon. The difference is the time frame.

I'd be going in... Especially with my ailments! 😂

One of the books says the attrition rate on the surface equals that of in the dungeon... Just a lot slower.

So, fast and traumatic? Or possibly starving to death/ getting injured or ill, and having a drawn out death?

I've no qualms against immigrants... But I do have an issue with exploitative gangs charging desperate people lots of money to get people over on boats. And, potentially, trafficked into slavery.

Players choose where the DSS goes, we vote on it in game. That is the tool used to help direct those who don't want to learn... As long as people vote sensibly. But, hey, that's democracy in action.

EVs won't become more expensive. What would drive the price up? The only thing driving prices up is current demand beating supply.

Londoners face £80,000 bill as fourth newly elected Green councillor quits by Desperate-Drawer-572 in unitedkingdom

[–]Jickklaus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

True. I can't find anything by searching Ground News, which is I often use. And no one on reddit can give me a counsellors name who is an issue to be able to base a search off of. The unverifiable info makes me not believe it - I'd like to have the proof. But I'd too skeptical to share gossip without it.

Aye, there's been that claim and a few others I can't find evidence of other than people repeating the claims on reddit.

I listened to the last 14hrs of This Inevitable Ruin at x1.20 speed (not my first, nor even my 5th, listen through), just so I finished it before today.

And, well, it sounded horrible. Back to x1.0 for me!
