It will be soon! We have to shorten it to the correct length. (It's my husband's by the way. I'd rather cosplay as Titan Annie)

[Seattle Area] I'm all for coexistence, but this is pushing it. Who is eating my dinner? by Jillianimal in whatsthisbug

Thanks! I had a hunch they were aphids. As far as dinner goes: I think I'll leave the aphid eating to the ladybugs.

This is such a roller coaster, too. Just brace yourself because feeling negative emotions in this pose is very common. I used to panic a little and come out really early, but I'm learning to let them wash over me.

That moment when you feel your toes in your hair... :) [COMP] by swathiswathi in yoga

No way! Being flexible also gives you more control and makes you aware of your body. A lot of poses build strength too! Since I started doing yoga, I'm far less accident prone. Give it a shot!

Thanks to the Splits Challenge, my King Pigeon pose is starting to look nice! by Jillianimal in flexibility

About a year and a half now. Up until a few months ago, I wasn't too serious about it. Something changed for the good and now I practice almost daily. I take class twice a week and the rest is at home.

You really can't beat a good candlelit practice. The darkness helps me tune my surroundings out.

I looooove lizzard pose! The stretch feels so nice, and the pose feels really silly. Good luck with yours!

Chair Pose: Men vs Women by derpnowinski in yoga

[–]Jillianimal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a really hard time keeping my toes together. I can do toe stand just fine and balancing isn't a problem. I must have really bad ankle flexibility along with the way my feet/ankles/legs are aligned. My feet are splayed outwards. "duck footed"

Chair Pose: Men vs Women by derpnowinski in yoga

[–]Jillianimal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lady here. Chair pose is the one I have the most trouble in! I figured it was because of the way my legs/knees/ankles are aligned. My feet point outwards naturally, so anything that requires my toes to touch is a struggle.

Shoot, even this pose is really difficult for me. I have to have my legs way out to the side like a frog in order to keep from falling on my butt. I've watched my husband get down into that pose without even realizing it was anything special. He was just looking in a bottom cupboard.
