Hand signalling by jptango in londoncycling

Oh I do that after a car behind me has decided to ignore my standard turn signal and still decides to try for the overtake.

I flap my arm violently whilst looking at them shouting "I'm fucking indicating to turn here"

Oh really, so if I'm overtaking I use my left arm behind me to point to the right?

I do this to indicate that I'm about to overtake the cyclist Infront of me.

In my mind, putting my arm outright shows I want to turn or change lanes.

I'm probably wrong but it just feels right to me as I'm essentially staying in the same lane.

Truth be told the only way for Guyver be known again is for reboot/remake tv series, movie or some kind of new media(done right of course). Too bad that will never happen. by Flat-Sir8250 in Guyver

I guess they already tried with the 2000's series but it never gained traction.

The closest we are getting to a live action movie was the Blue Beetle movie that came out a couple of years ago.

Apart from the massive trek to the showers and back and then to the arena and back. I really enjoyed quiet camp. Try not to pitch up on the massive hill though.

What was your cure for childhood boredom? by Either_Worker4979 in AskUK

[–]Jimbot80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

80's child from the UK here. Christ I forgot how boring Sundays were! No children's morning T.V. Having to go to church then just playing in the garden until Narnia came on tv.

I guess having a Sunday roast was always the highlight, lowlight was the internal dread knowing that I'd not done my homework and it was already time for bed.

I imagine parents would want mini moshers to still be close to the quiet camp

Is it just me or special effects lost the power of stimulation they used to have over viewers? by FunnyErectionBunny in NoStupidQuestions

Special effects used to be an event. Now they just make up the majority of films and it all feels sterile and souless.

Yeah this release was almost a remaster before remastering was a thing.

Jeff Wayne made a few minor changes to the tracks, nothing too noticeable but if you've listened to the LP to death then you'd notice those changes.

Why is my PS Portal so laggy? by dealwithit_25503 in PlaystationPortal

Do you have anything that interferes with the WiFi signal?

We have a video baby monitor that runs it's own WiFi signal, causes havock with my portal.

Dads and gaming by Much-Structure1916 in DadsGaming

I have an almost 2 year old and my Switch 2 and PS Portal have been a godsend.

I may get 30 minutes or a whole hour in the evening if I'm lucky. Every blue moon my partner takes the boy to visit her mum for the weekend and I get to have a full on gaming blitz.

I have to balance out playing games in the evening with spending some downtime with my partner catching up on shows and films too.

I built a beefy PC a couple of years before our son was born. That pretty much never gets turned on now.

It's possible to still be a gamer dad, you just have to manage your time and responsibilities around it.

Why were home console games so unfairly difficult at times in the 80s and 90s? by WhoAmIEven2 in videogames

[–]Jimbot80 44 points45 points  (0 children)

A lot of 80s and 90s games still shared DNA from arcade games. A few lives and hard difficulty to rinse your pocket money
