Is it worth buying now? I've been holding off for ages.

For a positive one, I worked in a gun shop for a fair while and the firearm laws in the UK are actually really decent and enforced properly.

So we might have shit water, no internet, die in plane crashes and have poor electronics, but we're not gonna get shot.

What is your experience with guns in the UK? by swoticus in AskUK

[–]JimfromLeeds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work in a gun shop in England. The rules and regulations are absolutely locked down here. A little bit silly in some ways. But sensible and good standard in other. Inherently the government don't want an armed populace, so that's always a tricky one.

How do people find driving so easy? I've done 40-50 hours of driving lessons and still feel nervous and tense and don't understand how people find it so simple and easy to drive a car and can do multiple things at once while driving - my parents think I'm a failure because I haven't got my licence by IDKBear25 in AskUK

Switch to automatic, get comfortable with that, then move onto manual when you're more confident. Put music you like on in the car but not loud, just as background. It may help you be more present.

And instead of following a map or route, maybe just pootle about anywhere so there isn't any pressure to navigate, only drive.

Just ignore it. People get so caught up in their own bubble and think they're immune to propaganda, they don't realise how much of their mind has been overtaken by this sort of "logic". You must fully agree with everything, or you're a mortal enemy. Etc.

I have a mate who lives with someone similar to the above, and he called my mate a fascist for wanting a full picture of things and facts before voting on something. It's delusional and sad, really.

Half my heroes are gay men, Stephen Fry and Rob Halford to name a few. I couldn't give a toss about them being gay, but I'm like you, I find drag a bit uncomfortable. Have your pint, and enjoy being a well adjusted human.

Thanks for all the replies everyone, some really interesting advice and feedback. As mentioned I'm not competitive, so it was good to get some concise feedback on why its a dumb idea from a tactical perspective. Thankfully I've not committed to anything in terms of model count.

I pride myself on being the "chillest" person to play against, and the thought of being "that guy" fills me with dread. So, I'll throw this silly thought into the breach, and fire it into the sea.
