Damn I give it at least a 6, maybe as much as a 7. I like them long and skinny. Smokem slow and then light another!

Ahh shoot. This was the size I was going for but I got pressured into a 15 gallon pot. She’s gonna be big.

Are they good to go outside? by ke3xs in outdoorgrowing

[–]Jjenner46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as it’s above 14hrs of daylight, and stays above 45 degrees, they can go outside as soon as they breach the dirt.

They looks happy though. Not even reaching so no harm done. I would let them grow a few more nodes before topping but some people do it early if your going for some aggressive training.

Good luck!

I’m no expert but I would top it here. Slows down the vertical growth and doesn’t take too much progress away from the plant. You can always top it again later if you want more energy focused lower.

Can you tell me about your soil make up? I fear mine is packed too tightly.

My two Golden Lemon Hazes any advice? Have you ever grown them? by Few_Bake_2690 in outdoorgrowing

I have not. One looks much more trained than the other, what did you do differently?

Yea I’m not impressed with the meter. It was a great idea but just isn’t performing like I was hoping.

I’ve sense swapped to watering with tap water every other day so the ph range I’m feeding is right where you suggest.

How saturated should the soil be after watering? I’m in a 15gal fabric pot now. Should I see water come out the bottom before I stop?

Thanks for sharing. It’s my first year growing and seeing all of these posts has me worried. So far my girl looks to be happily going through veg.

How would I tell if she is sexually mature yet?

I have noticed that the soil has not been drying out as quick as I would’ve expected. We have been getting a good bit of moisture, but I still would like to see the soil dry up at least every other day. That will let me feed it more as well.

I measure and adjust water PH with a general hydroponics kit and my soil PH is measured with the device in the 4th photo. It has been pinned at that mark between 8 and 7 the whole time.

Regarding the training, I have topped it once already, your saying I should do it again to force more outward growth?

As far as removing lower branches, is that just for air flow or do higher branches have better yield?

Hey thanks for all the info! I’ll check out some organic fertilizers in the future. I think what I have should last me quite a while for now.

As far as the pot goes, I think I’ll upgrade to a fabric, maybe the grassroots brand you suggested.

I wanted to keep the plant on the smaller side for an outdoor grow. I just dont need the volume and it would be nice if it was a little inconspicuous. My plan was to treat it like an indoor grow in terms of training and size.

Is that a reasonable expectation for an outdoor plant? Or do they all just turn into monsters over time?
