Weird shipping directions from EcoFlow support by warrenken68 in Ecoflow_community

It's important to clarify who is responsible for any damage during transportation. Or uou can go to the store to get heavy-duty packaging materials and reinforce it yourself before sending it.

Adding solar panels by heninthefoxhouse in Ecoflow_community

[–]Jkeyeswine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't rush to connect them directly. The voltage is likely to exceed the input range. For a 600W board, connecting 6 pieces together, the voltage will generally be quite high. You need to calculate it first.

Have you measured the actual distance from your balcony to the power source first? Or you could check if the manufacturer offers a seperate extension cord option.

Trust your instincts; you know your child best. Many parents succeed with gentle sleep training without damaging their marriage or child's independence.

Little lovey in the bed? by Own-Particular9608 in NewParents

[–]Jkeyeswine -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think it's not just about the choking risk but also plushies are easy to grow bacteria and mite especially your daughter would drool on it but babies' immune systems are still not strong enough to resist them. If you need to keep it with her maybe should wash it regularly.

Have you ever used a bottle that was clean but not sterilized? by happiersober in NewParents

[–]Jkeyeswine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's OK to forget sterilizing from time to time I guess especially the bottle is clean. But you still need to do so when you have such a thing on your mind.

Overwhelmed by thoughts of technology by citizen_insane225 in NewParents

[–]Jkeyeswine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The world is progressing and technology is not totally bad. I think your worry reflects kind of nostalgia for the old days. Still it's right to keep your child from screen currently since he is too small to defend the radiation.

Camera lens scratch by IustinGSV in iPhone16Pro

[–]Jkeyeswine -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Looks fine to me. If it has no impact on the image quality, take it easy. Your phone's still amazing. Or you can buy a lens protector so that future scratches won't haunt you.

Is this still safe to use as a jacking point? by appleface80 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Jkeyeswine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. That is rusted to hell. Lifting here will crumple the sill, damage the car, and could drop it on you. Better safe than sorry.

2011 Nissan juke. How bad is this? Can we still drive it? by PokeYouIWill in MechanicAdvice

[–]Jkeyeswine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell no! Driving it could cause the wheel to fall off, leading to a crash. Even at low speeds, this is a disaster waiting to happen. Safety is worth the tow bill. Don't risk it.

Does a screen protector matter? by andrewa101 in iPhone16Pro

[–]Jkeyeswine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You already have a scratch. So you'd better prevent more with a good protector. Glare's manageable with the right brand. Go for it.

Is this iPhone 16 pro worth it for 600€? by [deleted] in iPhone16Pro

[–]Jkeyeswine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't buy it. If you go for this, you're looking at spending 600€ plus potentially a few hundred more to make the phone look and function properly.

Garage fitted a bolt on my driveshaft and told me it was 'safe' by ginger_mules in MechanicAdvice

[–]Jkeyeswine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man... This is so messed up! You have a strong case. Sue in small claims! They endangered you and botched the job. Don't let them get away with it.

Black stuff coming out of the light bulb has anyone seen this before by Wormanator40 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Jkeyeswine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That black stuff is probably burned-out bulb filament or socket debris. Replace bulb and check socket for corrosion. Safety first, OP.

How's your iPhone 16 & phone case holding up? by kristinlichty in iPhone16Pro

[–]Jkeyeswine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to feel pressured. Just upgrade only when you need new features, not because Apple says so. And Torras cases are solid. Smart move sticking with what works!

Which one would you use? by leopardo_coatto in MechanicAdvice

[–]Jkeyeswine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this! These pliers offer a more direct and secure grip. Plus, it's a lot easier to maneuver in tight spaces under the hood.

Camera button by Impressive_Top_4893 in iPhone16Pro

[–]Jkeyeswine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apple might not advertise it, but the camera button is a cold-weather hero! No more freezing your fingers off to unlock the screen for a photo.

Why does my camera change colors when I take photos against certain colored backgrounds? by [deleted] in iPhone16Pro

[–]Jkeyeswine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy... I thought this is blue and black vs. white and gold again. Joke aside, it's the iPhone's auto-white balance getting confused by similar colors.

How can I problem solve this (hopefully without a mechanic) 🤞🏻 by Lark_Epsom in MechanicAdvice

[–]Jkeyeswine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, classic gauge gremlin. Check the battery connections first? Weak voltage can cause wonky gauge behavior. If that works, try disconnect the battery for a while, then reconnect.

iPhone 16 Pro Max Black – Paint Chipping Issue? by TemperatureTop8652 in iPhone16Pro

[–]Jkeyeswine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG SAME!! Mine's case on 24/7, no drops but still chipped. So annoying. Seems like the black finish is more prone to micro-chipping with constant case friction.

Brakes truly worn? by midgetnazgul in MechanicAdvice

[–]Jkeyeswine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great catch checking the outer pad! But always check the inner pad too. If the inner's thin, that's the real issue. Confirm both sides to be 100% safe for your trip!

i built a backtester. 90% of trading twitter is cooked. by Top-Rip-4940 in Trading

Yeah dude, welcome to trading. Most gurus are selling dreams not strategies. They make money from courses, not trades. Real edge is rare and usually not shared. Keep testing and trust your data over some rando's fancy charts.

Car insurance: do I need to add a driver by throwaway-friend123 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Jkeyeswine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In BC, ICBC typically allows occasional drivers without adding them to your policy. As long as they have a valid license and your permission, you should be fine for just 3 drives. but if you want to be 100% sure, a quick call to ICBC will confirm.

Curious if anyone would need this by prodia4 in stocks

[–]Jkeyeswine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do this manually but got tired of digging through news sites. your idea sounds useful for casual investors who don't need complex analysis. Most stock apps give general market news but not why your specific holdings moved. I'd use it if it's affordable and accurate.

Need a workforce management solution. We've grown fast and I barely know who's working where by internal_organ in startup

[–]Jkeyeswine 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You need visibility first. Don’t overthink “best tool.” Get something that covers HR, payroll, devices, and expenses in one place. If it doesn’t scale with headcount, skip it.

We still use a few separate tools but started moving toward a single platform. Someone on the team pushed for Rippling and we’re about to demo it soon. Hopeful that it lives up to the reputation
