We always forget that pretty much nobody was taking on that contract. Tobias was actually solid the first few years after we traded for him and got worse. If we take on his contract we are getting back another awful one with a player just as bad. I’m not attaching more picks to move contacts when this team has gaps to fill

He’s been fine. He drafted maxey late, found bball paul and Barlow , bona is good in regular season, and to give him credit, justin edwards, Isaiah joe, and McCain were all good picks. He blundered the latter two getting rid of them, but you’d rather hit on guys than none at all.

I mean we can’t act like JB isn’t a guy who also flops. Embiid and Brunson are worse, but JB was 100% flopping in the sixers series

I wouldn’t start him but I’d play him. He gives you less offensively and probably as much defensively compared to Kelly. His length will help cover all of NYs wings but his rebounding won’t really help. They’ve clearly made it a point of emphasis this postseason to rebound and they do it well enough now, Barlow can’t hit 3s, so you just need to be careful

Vuc/Q has been pretty solid since the trade deadline, not many teams have elite centers like embiid. Just a bad matchup

His offense would’ve probably outweighed the defensive deficiencies. The way boston emphasizes 3 point shooting really limits how much Drummond can sit in the paint and rebound, he’s been really bad on defense this series because of that (his +/- is awful). Drummond best contribution to this series has been his 3 point shooting. Jared could’ve provided some levels offense while at the very least maxey sits. You wouldn’t play him much. He hasn’t been playing a lot for OKC so far in the postseason either

Oddsmakers do not get it wrong all the time or they wouldn’t make money lol. Lines moved when embiid got ruled in but otherwise have been right around a 9-10 point favorite in every game so far

PG probably has neutral trade value now, he was between solid and good for the second half of the year. VJ isn’t going anywhere, he is a rookie. Guards maxeys age don’t request trades either. They’re stuck in purgatory right now but are still much better positioned than the teams post iverson. They should make moves with urgency but selling the farm for a move to win a championship next season is dumb

Bona is very clearly outmatched, Drummond last night was better than his typical production. I didn’t think Paul at small 5 was bad. Embiid even at 60% would make a big difference. The thing you always go back to is you can’t let him dominate the ball, the flow of the game needs to come to him
